Chapter 2888 - One Against Ten Thousand
Chapter 2888 - One Against Ten Thousand
As expected, when the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and Gladean Ruins reached the Sun, Yin Chen informed them that tens of thousands of xenogates had opened in the surroundings of Ebonia and the Sun. They were all incredibly large and let countless divine wonderians through. With Ebonia and the Sun being so close, the astral gods were able to absorb enough nova source for space travel. And given how large space was, a few million astral gods seemed to make no commotion at all.
All of them were headed toward the Sun.
"Including the wonderians that emerged from the Sun, we're looking at around ten million of them!" Tianming said, echoing Yin Chen's estimations. "Meng Ying’s gone utterly insane."
They were basically getting the entire divine wondersky race to mobilize. However, they had no worry that Tianming would be able to go after Wondrium now that their defenses had been weakened; he had no way of making it there anyway.
"Insanity is the prelude to oblivion!"
It was clear that the wonderians in space had wanted to enter the Sun through the smaller xenogates, but Yin Chen had wiped them out before they had the chance. Thus, they had no choice but to gather near, but outside, the Sun.
"Judging by the way things go, it'll take them quite a while to assemble their army before they can attack us," Tianming said.
"That's right! There's no way that they'll be able to enter the Sun without suffering grave casualties. We have to wipe out all the markers to ensure they're no longer a threat to the Sky Palace Formation," Xiaodao said.
"I still have forty billion Yin Chens with me. I was going to use them to fight, but since we aren’t going to have that chance anytime soon, I'll spread them all across the Sun to tighten surveillance." That was where Yin Chen truly shone, not in combat!
"Do it as quickly as possible!"
The two infinitum-class ships entered the pink Sun, and the many wonderians that were already down there witnessed that sight. Even though they were eight million strong, they still seemed rather daunted at the prospect of taking on the blazing world.
As Tianming was descending to the surface, he saw many wonderians slowly begin surrounding his world like flies. "Make sure to count every single one of them. I want to know how many astral gods they have."
"Hey, don't be rude to Granddaddy Chen," Xiaodao said.
It wasn't that Tianming was trying to sound rude; he was simply faced with a crisis of a proportion he had never dealt with before. He felt united with the world and its inhabitants, like he was burning alongside them.
Not long after, Yin Chen reported that they added up to around eight million wonderians in total. "Eight million, huh? Guess they won't be leaving—I'll have them all die here!"
Once the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb entered the Sun, it rapidly cleared out the rest of the markers. The wonderians that’d come through had abandoned them and were gathering at a single location.
"We have to wipe them out before the seven million outside attack!" Astralships could only do limited damage to astral god armies, so each individual enemy had to be properly monitored. The million wonderians on the Sun formed around seven hundred units, with the largest having seventy thousand people. It was led by the strongest of them, a tenth-level cosmic cartographer.
"Have all our elites deploy in their ships. We have to wipe the enemies out, wave by wave, as many as possible before they all join up!" Tianming gave the order for slaughter. This was his kingdom, and it was being invaded.
"Understood!" The troops were delegating tasks among themselves, doing their best to ensure that they didn't let any rogue unit of wonderians go unaccounted for. Fortunately, the Sun had more than enough forces to take on the wonderians that were on it... for now. Another twenty thousand wonderians formed up together, with many more activating their divine wonders to charge toward their seventy thousand other allies.
Just then, a gigantic, nine-headed mechanical dragon appeared in the sky, casting a boundless shadow beneath.
"It's Li Tianming! As long as we keep out of his way, he can't do anything to us!" Even the orderans didn't seem to fear the infinitum-class ship. It was quite annoying how they scattered like flies, randomly exploding in every direction.
Little did they expect, however, that the ship would crash straight into the ground. A door opened up, letting out a white-haired youth wielding a sword of gold and black. His eyes burned bright as he charged toward the twenty thousand wonderians.
"It's him! Li Tianming!" The wonderians were utterly stunned at how he had just abandoned the safety of his ship to charge at them. As he was a moving sack of loot, everyone charged toward him to get their share!
"Heavens! He's here, and he's alone!"
"Marshal Nan, Marshal Zhao, do you see that?"
"Hurry! There's twenty thousand pairs of us, so that makes forty thousand divine wonders in total! He'll be crushed!"
"That kid truly doesn't know when he's charging straight at his death. He would never expect how different twenty thousand divine wonderians could be from twenty thousand beastmasters!"
Wonderians were much more adept at warfare compared to beastmasters. Even though this group of wonderians had wanted to scatter and rejoin the bigger group, they had been driven to complete irrationality by Tianming's alluring presence. Back then, they were only able to catch a glimpse of him from the wondersky realm, but he was currently before them in the flesh!
"Grab him!" The twenty thousand divine wonderians immediately doubled in number and deployed their divine wonders at the same time Tianming summoned his lifebound beasts, with the exception of Yin Chen and Ji Ji.
They no longer had to keep their bodies shrunk this time around. In the sky, a blazing phoenix spread its full glorious wingspan of tens of thousands of meters. Lan Huang, the size of a hundred thousand mountains, crashed the party while, beside it, a gigantic tree took root and let its flowers bloom as it shot out sword-shaped leaves! Lastly, Tianming rode the Regal Chaosfiend that was surrounded by billions of lightning bolts spreading straight into the crowd, sending waves of electricity through their ranks!
Tianming's grand lexicon wonder and Prime Starchain swept the field, vaporizing tens of astral gods before they even got sight of him. A ninth-level cosmic cartographer couple attempted to stop him, only to be taken out by a single slash from Tianming. Ying Huo, Meow Meow, Lan Huang, and Xian Xian immediately took control of the entire battlefield. Xian Xian's black roots alone were able to surround an area that could easily house more than forty thousand astral gods!
"That's right, it is I, Li Tianming, hereby informing all of you that not a single one of you shall be left alive today!" A boundless killing aura instantly filled the battlefield.
