Beastman Forcefully Raising a Wife

Chapter 13: Big Angry Birds

Chapter 13: Big Angry Birds

It was another fine-weathered day. The fiery sunlight penetrated the layers of dense branches and leaves, casting splotches of mottled light.

The cool breeze in the forest brought fresh oxygen, soothing the living creatures that were feeling hot and dry.

Like a koala, Shu Jintian hugged a towering tree that was thick enough for three people to wrap their arms around, his feet treading on the branches sticking out of the tree trunk as he crawled upwards at a tortoises pace.

Large drops of sweat excreted from his skin, tumbling down. Shu Jintian was so hot his head was covered in sweat and his cheeks were flushed.

Ive finally climbed up. Its so hot Im about to die.

Shu Jintian sat on a branch at the peak of the big tree, one hand supporting himself with a nearby branch to maintain his balance. Looking at a birds nest the size of a babys cradle, his smile was so wide his incisors were visible.

There were three pomelo-sized bird eggs lying in the center of the birds nest. He had bitterly climbed up the unimaginably tall tree just for this birds nest. Seeing that there were eggs as expected, he felt that his hardship was worth it.

Fuck, he could finally have a change in flavour. Alternating between roasted meat or fruits every day, his tongue was about to become tasteless. Having an egg for a meal just so happened to satisfy his cravings.

Shu Hanyu lazily wrapped around a lower part of the tree, occasionally taking a look at the female.

Today he had brought him out to have some fresh air. When they passed by this place, the female suddenly wanted to go up the tree. Seeing that the females behaviour in the past two days was good, he had magnanimously allowed it. The female shouldnt be trapped indoors like this every day, so let him play if he wants to ba.

To Shu Hanyu, climbing up trees was incredibly easy, and to him it was as natural as walking on the ground.

Since he allowed the female to play, Shu Hanyu did not plan to help him, even though the females tree climbing speed was unbearable for him to watch.

Shu Jintian picked up a bird egg. It was quite heavy.

He was somewhat at a loss now. He got his hands on the bird eggs, but how should he bring it down ne?

Bowing his head to look below, gazing down at the layers and layers of branches crisscrossing from above brought about a dizzying feeling.

Sometimes the peak trunk would sway and Shu Jintian would have the misperception that the treetop would be snapped by his weight.

Going down by himself was already challenging his heart enough, but to bring along three inconceivably large bird eggs really was a pain in the ass. Hanyu, I cant go down, can you come get me?

If he didnt have no other choice, Shu Jintian wouldnt have asked the big snake for help.

Shu Hanyu raised his head to look at the female and was about to move when he heard a sharp bird cry coming from the skies.

High in the skies, there were two large and bright-coloured birds furiously chirping. It was the carnivorous bird species, Blazing Bird.

These two birds were over a meter long, their bodies entirely glossy and shiny, and presented a gorgeous tint under the sunlight. Their golden beaks were hard and sharp, and their golden claws were also slender and long. Currently, they were hooked like an eagles claw, able to deliver fatal attacks to their opponent any time.

The Blazing Birds flapped their golden wings and quickly and violently rushed at the treetop.

Shu Hanyu was startled and heard the female let out a cry of alarm. He immediately bolted upwards.

Damned Blazing Birds, daring to harm his female, he definitely had to eat them.

This large tree was 100 meters tall. Though Shu Hanyu was burning with anxiety, it was still impossible for him to immediately arrive at the females side.

Shu Jintian was staring downwards with dizzy eyes when he suddenly heard two sharp cries from behind him, practically piercing through his eardrums. He quickly turned his head back and immediately spotted two enormous birds angrily flying towards him, reaching him in an instant.

Shu Jintian was startled and hastily leaned back, dangerously avoiding the birds strong attack.

Seeing its attack fail, the Blazing Bird immediately turned around and steadied its body. The other rushed forward again, not giving Shu Jintian a moment to breathe.

Shu Jintian quickly got up, his hand swatting at that large birds neck. The big birds powerful body was still very efficient even in the air and only deviated away from its original course from his strike, missing Shu Jintians direction and gliding a few meters.

Before Shu Jintian could steady his slightly off-balance body, he heard the whistling sound of wind behind him. Without much time to react, Shu Jintian instinctively ducked down and blocked with his right hand.

His arm had a sharp pain, then his waist was also slashed by its claws. Shu Jintian took a firm grasp on the claw that was still on his body. With his tug, the claws still hooked on his body tore down two strips of cloth and even some flesh.

Shun Jintian bore the pain and firmly pulled the claw, forcefully slamming it onto the tree.

The valiant Blazing Bird was only smashed by Shu Jintian, and had thrown off his hand in the next second. It did not sustain any injuries; instead, it was infuriated by Shu Jintian and pounced on him with greater violence.

Shu Jintians breathing stuttered and he slid down the tree trunk in a terrible state, narrowly avoiding the Blazing Beasts attack.

When Shu Jintian slid down, he spotted the large birds nest out of the corner of his eye.

Shu Jintians eyes brightened. The bird eggs were their weak points, he could use it to save himself.

But the downward slide he just did had resulted in him being further away from the nest. Now, if he wanted to grab the eggs, he would need to climb back up again.

The two Blazing Birds rushed at Shu Jintian simultaneously. This time, Shu Jintian was much calmer. Right when the large birds reached him, he shifted sideways and seized the chance to catch one of the birds claws, dragging it and using all his might to swing at the other bird.

This time, because it was two live birds crashing together, their movements mutually affected each other and messed up their flight. They became momentarily unbalanced.

Shu Jintian took advantage of this moment to climb upwards. Finally, before the big birds attacked him, he arrived at the nest.

When the Blazing Birds steadied themselves and saw this female unexpectedly coming to their nest, they were incredibly frightened and rushed at Shu Jintian with a cry.

Shu Jintian promptly took out a bird egg and held it against his chest, attempting to threaten the big birds.

However, Shu Jintian had ended up overestimating the birds intelligence. When the Blazing Birds saw him taking their eggs, they were even more enraged. Not only did they not stop, they charged forward even more fiercely instead.

Shu Jintian was shocked; the birds had already arrived before him and it was too late for him to dodge. Raising the egg, he threw it out.

The Blazing Bird close enough to reach his eyes immediately turned around and dove towards the egg.

Hu~ Shu Jintian sighed in relief.  However, before he could catch his breath, the other Blazing Bird had rushed over.

Shu Jintian hastily picked up another egg and right when the Blazing Birds beak pricked his front, he flung it out.

As a result, the other bird also went down after the egg.

Shu Jintian feebly panted heavily against the tree, his clothes torn into tatters and the wounds from the claw scratches trickled out blood, staining his white long-sleeved t-shirt.

Shu Hanyu swiftly slithered up and saw this exact scene. The female weakly leaned against the tree trunk, unmoving; his body blood-red all over, the bloody scent steadily dispersing from his body. It was a very sweet and fragrant scent, but Shu Hanyu only felt a fit of unprecedented anger.

His snake body hooked around the females body and brought him to his side. The female who had always rejected him was obediently sticking against him right now, panting powerlessly.

He himself wasnt willing to be so heavy-handed against his own female. Yet, his female was unexpectedly bullied like this by other animals; that was simply unforgivable.

The two Blazing Birds chased after their eggies, impatiently using their beaks to bite at it. The overly large eggs couldnt be firmly taken hold of, and were pierced by the hard beaks, losing their lives before they could touch the earths embrace.

Failing to save their children, the Blazing Birds let out a sad, shrill cry.

The Blazing Bird that lost their children turned around and barreled towards the treetop with incensed eyes.
