The classroom was filled with a cacophony of chatter and arguments.

Just as Qiao Sang was about to call Little Treasure, a crisp voice rang out, “Qiao Sang, over here!”

She followed the voice and saw Jin Feifan sitting excitedly at the back corner of the classroom, the designated seats for underachievers, waving at her energetically.

Qiao Sang was taken aback for a moment. She went over and took the empty seat beside her.

“Did you get placed here too?”

Only students with particular strengths made it into the Elite Class. Apparently, Jin Feifan and Little Ball Pofu’s coordination skills were quite valued by the school.

“Yeah.”

Jin Feifan said sheepishly, “I scored 645 on the high school entrance exam.”

Qiao Sang: ...!

What on earth? The exam was out of 650 points, and you scored 645?!

“I thought you were a special admit?” Qiao Sang asked after a moment of silence.

“Mm.” Jin Feifan scratched her head.

“I wasn’t too confident about the exam, so I tried out for special admission in case I needed a lower score.”

You weren’t confident, and you scored 645?!

Qiao Sang felt exhausted. She didn’t want to say anything for a while.

“It’s not just me; Lu You and Wang Jihang from the school team are also in this class.” Jin Feifan continued.

Before Qiao Sang could respond, she suddenly felt a weight on her head. Judging by the weight, it definitely wasn’t Little Treasure.

Before she could reach up to check, a bespectacled boy rushed over, shouting, “Fat Dove, how many times do I have to tell you? Don’t land on people’s heads randomly!”

So, it was Fat Dove… Qiao Sang realized there was a plump little dove sitting on her head. Then she felt it flutter off.

“Coo coo~”

The little fat dove flew past her eyes and landed on the head of the boy sitting in front.

“Why is this thing here again?!” The boy in the front row yelled.

“Sorry, sorry! Fat Dove, come back here!” The bespectacled boy frantically called.

“Coo coo~”

The little fat dove flapped its wings and chirped, then flew over to land on a girl’s head.

The girl jumped in fright, shouting, “Aah! What is this?!”

Watching the chaotic scene unfold, Qiao Sang said diplomatically, “Everyone’s beasts are so lively.”

“Probably because they’ve met so many new friends.” Jin Feifan pointed towards the window.

“My Little Ball Pofu usually stays close to me, but today it met a vine-wrapped beast with similar traits, so it ran off to play.”

Qiao Sang looked over and saw Little Ball Pofu, who was usually shy and hid behind Jin Feifan, grinning as it played with a vine-covered creature with only white eyes showing.

It seemed like the personality of one’s beast could indeed shift in different environments...

Qiao Sang couldn’t help but wonder if she should arrange a matchmaking event for Water Luriana if she couldn’t find a compatible partner online…

No way!

As soon as the thought surfaced, she shook her head. Matchmaking for beasts required a trainer’s approval, and if Water Luriana attended, it would definitely attract attention.

At that moment, a young man with black-framed glasses and teaching materials entered the classroom.

The room fell silent instantly.

Everyone sensed the aura of an intellectual. A grown-up appearing at this time could only mean one thing, a teacher.

The young man walked up to the podium, scanned the students, and said, “Everyone, please sit down.”

The students instantly scrambled to find their preferred seats.

The young man smiled kindly and said, “Let me introduce myself. My last name is Li, first name Yi. I’ll be your homeroom teacher through the most important three years of your life.”

“You should all know you’re the cream of this year’s freshman class. I hope…” Li Yi’s words abruptly stopped.

A fat little dove had flown onto his head and bounced a couple of times.

To be entrusted with teaching the best class in the city’s top high school, this was nothing new for Li Yi.

He calmly adjusted his glasses and said, “I know you’re all new to beast training and want to spend time with your pets, but I ask that during class, you…”

“White Sand Fox! Don’t go outside!” Suddenly, a student in the front row chased after a White Sand Fox that had started to trot out of the classroom.

Even as he was interrupted, Li Yi remained unruffled.

“Let him be. He’ll come back shortly. In these cases, please try to recall your beasts instead of running after them. Understood?”

“Yes!” The students responded in unison.

“Coo coo!” Fat Dove, feeling the shift in the room’s atmosphere, gave a couple of bounces.

The bespectacled boy looked at his Fat Dove and trembled in his seat.

Li Yi wasn’t angry.

He simply said, “I ask that you keep your beasts summoned only in the Beast Codex during class. Is that clear?”

“Yes!” The students replied together.

Li Yi nodded in satisfaction.

He smiled for a full 30 seconds before his smile froze.

“Then why haven’t you all recalled your beasts yet?”

The students came to their senses and quickly summoned their pets back.

But just then, the teacher’s glasses seemed to mysteriously lift off his face.

Li Yi squinted, surveying the classroom, until his gaze settled on a floating Bubble Bell.

“Whose Bubble Bell is this?”

Wang Jihang, sitting in the middle, jumped up.

“Teacher, it’s mine.”

Li Yi kindly advised, “As trainers, we need to control our beasts’ actions when they’re out. Teachers may be used to this, but what if it happened with regular people?”

Wang Jihang flushed, and hastily recalled the Bubble Bell into the Codex.

However, the glasses didn’t fall back but continued to hover in midair.

Li Yi was taken aback. He squinted again and scanned the room.

Seeing that all the beasts were now recalled, Qiao Sang glanced at the floating glasses, then at the ceiling, feeling a chill run down her spine.

She had nearly forgotten about Little Treasure…

Leaving a deep impression on her homeroom teacher on the first day of school wasn’t a good idea.

Under her desk, Qiao Sang waved her hand, causing a flash of white light to cross the air.

“Crash!”

The glasses hit the floor, and a crack appeared on one of the lenses.
