Chapter 98: A stinging Bitch slap!

Chapter 98: A stinging Bitch slap!

While the crowd booed Linda and cursed her for being a shameless bitch, Elliot turned his face towards her, looking down at her in silence for a brief moment before revealing a sly, crafty, sadistic, foxy, and evil smile on his face.

Linda looked at the expression on his face, then suddenly a realization hit her. From the very start, he wasn’t aiming to harm her physically! No! He never wanted to kill her! He was just playing with her mind, and she had foolishly succumbed to his words and ended up playing out the act he wrote for her. Yes, from the very start, she was merely acting out the script he prepared to destroy her life!

For him, killing her was letting her off too easy! He wanted to destroy her mentally! He wanted to stomp all over her pride and crush her arrogance so badly that she won’t consider bothering others for the rest of her life. He wanted her to suffer so much that she would consider committing suicide as an alternative to escape the life that he has already destroyed!

“Boohoo! Stop bullying me.” The crowd was dissing her pretty badly already, and Elliot’s evil smile just added salt to her injuries, causing pretty tears to burst out of her hazy eyes.

Seeing her cry her heart out, Elliot felt pretty satisfied. Is this how it feels like to bully a bully who is weaker than oneself? Is this why Alexander and the people back in school kept on picking on him? Because stepping on the pride and confidence of others feels satisfying? Just because he used to be weaker than them, they treated him like a pushover. Just because he used to not have the strength to defend himself, even the teachers who were supposed to protect someone like him turned a blind eye to him and let him suffer abuse every day. Just because he used to be weaker than them, they never treated him like a human and crushed his confidence mercilessly by stepping on his body, showing him that no matter how hard he trains, he would never be able to overcome them.

But what about now? He was stronger than everyone who has ever mistreated him, and he was also richer, and it only took him one to two months to reach such heights.

Oh, how fast the world change.

Elliot moved calmly and came close to Linda. She was crouching on the ground while he was standing proudly before her, and around them, dozens of participants looked at them in silence.

Linda raised his head to look at the source of her misery with eyes that were overflowing with viciousness and tears. Of course, no matter how much Elliot disliked her, he couldn’t decline that she looked like a fine piece of art with tears running down her eyes, an art he had meticulously created by using his brain cells.

“The entire crowd is against you, and I bet that the news about this event will circulate throughout the academy and then this city. No one will socialize with you, and those who do will come with your smile on their faces to hide the dagger behind their backs.” Elliot said in a low but calm voice so that only Linda would hear him clearly, and he said those words to instill a false sense of insecurity in her mind, one that will make her feel paranoid whenever someone comes close to her. I know you’re going to drop out and transfer to another academy, but I will make sure to spread words of how you commanded Hurley to sacrifice his life for you through the Internet. After all, humans of both Earth and Xavier deserve to know how great the eldest princess of the third strongest magician family truly is.”

How could Linda not understand the sarcasm in her words?! Someone who actively mind-controlled a person to save her life, once words spread, she will be known to the world as a vicious woman! Not as someone great!

His words poured lava onto her wounds that were already covered with fresh specks of salt, nothing less.

Linda trembled in anger, anguish, and so on, but Elliot didn’t feel even a tiny bit of sympathy for her. He leaned down to her level, bringing his lips close to her ears before saying, “Live the rest of your life in regret, and always remember, the people who happily come up to you and strikes up a conversation are doing that to ridicule you when you open up your heart to them.”

“You’re lying! You’re saying that to mess with me! How could a single mistake ruin my entire life?! I am not going to believe you. You bastard!” Linda’s hands balled into a fist before she started landing one strike after another on his chest, but a golden skin-like shield protected his body and clothes from being tainted by her touch.

“That’s what they call cancel culture, you dumb broad,” Elliot said as he tripped her, and she fell face-first on the ground.

No matter how evil you are, even if you’re a person who had made billions at the sacrifice of millions of people and the climate of the world itself, even if you’re a serial killer or a rapist, even if you’re a drug trafficker or a human trafficker, ignorant people will treat you like a saint as long as you can cover up all of your crimes as well as make sure they never come to light and act in ways that benefit the society such as donating a portion of your wealth to a charity, opening public houses, hospital, and stuff.

However, if even a single one of your crimes comes to light, your entire life will crumble apart in a single night! The society that praised you like a saint will push you down your high heels and throw you down to the depth of the abyss.

That’s what happened to Linda.

She did something morally wrong in front of people that won’t bat an eye if someone is legally killed in front of them, but they would do everything to push her down to the abyss as long as she was in front of them.

The only road that was left for her to escape the taunting look of the people was to hide behind the protective walls of her family, that’s what Linda thought.

“You evil demon, I will kill you!” Linda blamed Elliot for everything, and she stood up from the ground before running at him with the intention to slap him.

She swung her hand at him, but before it could even reach him, he landed a slap on her face.

Pa*

A crisps sound reached everyone’s ears as they watched how the force behind his slap lifted her off her feet, caused her to spin across the air, and pathetically crash down onto the ground, and she lost her consciousness the moment her body hit the ground.
