Chapter 41: John Mystery

Chapter 41: John Mystery

<Name: John Crimson

<Race: Dhampir>

<Magic Matrix: Magic Eyes>

<Ability: Power of Blood (sealed)>

<Evolutionary Stage: sixth level of the Magical Realm>

<Strength: 12>

<Stamina: 13>

<Speed: 14>

<Magic Energy: 60/60 units>

Elliot couldn’t believe that someone so close to him happens to be a Demi-human, a mixed breed that resulted from the love between a human and a vampire, a love mentioned as forbidden in all the fantasy novels he had read.

Was John Crimson’s mysterious father a vampire?

That seems to be the case as Elliot has come across other members of the crimson family in the magic coliseum, but not a single one of them was a vampire or a Dhampir.

John’s mother belonged to the crimson family but his father was a mystery.

Only John had a connection to the Vampire mentioned in the fantasy novels.

First Theo and now John, both of them happen to be Demi-Humans, and also his friends!

Are there a lot of races hiding within the society?

What kind of joke was this?!

He blinked his eyes, rubbing them a few more times as he looked at John and then at the notification in his mind, finding it hard to correlate the two of them.

John looked like a human through and through, so what’s this about him being a vampire’s son?

Is it because somehow his superpower is sealed?

That might probably be the case.

What will happen once somehow they are unsealed?

He might become a fearsome existence!

How to unseal them? Elliot thought, wondering how to seal John’s ability.

<Power of Blood: A mystical power that only a mixed breed between a human and a vampire can use>

<Condition to unseal: Feed the Dhampir the blood of hundred living beings>

That seemed a bit too hard to complete as he wasn’t sure whether John even knew that he was a Dhampir or if he would agree to drink the blood of different creatures.

So, Elliot chose to exercise his right to remain silent, silently listening to John telling them about his Magic Matrix.

“My magic matrix allows me to create a total of three pairs of floating eyes made out of sixty units of magic energy. I can see whatever is in their field of vision simultaneously, allowing me to observe things from multiple angles at the same time. I can also control them to conduct scouting individually, though it is mentally taxing and quickly drains my magic energy.” John said, explaining the working of his somewhat complex magic matrix to them.

Theo and Lisa felt amazed by it as it seemed to have a lot of uses, far more than their magic matrix.

Elliot used the power of his godly right eye to get a better understanding of John’s magic eye.

<Magic Matrix Name: Magic Eyes

<Magic Matrix evolutionary stage: sixth level of the Magical Realm>

<Classification: Auxiliary>

<Description: After John Crimson activates his magic matrix by channeling twelve units of magic energy into it, he is able to create an eye made out of magic energy that can explore the area within a 10000-meter radius around him and transmit information back to him IRL. John can control the eye by using his thoughts. And the eye can also conduct individual scouting>

Seems impressive!

John and Lisa both had obtained a unique magic matrix with pretty handy uses.

“What about you guys?” John asked about the magic matrix of Theo and Elliot.

Theo told them about his magic matrix in a single sentence. Elliot, however, explained half of the detail of his magic matrix, leaving the unnecessary and hard to believe part out of it.

“Let’s get to the mission hall,” Elliot said after they finished exchanging information about their magic matrix and level in order to get to know each other capabilities.

The Mission Hall was a building in the Emerald Mountain of the Magician Academy where students that have created a magic matrix and instructors with a teaching license could go to accept missions given to the academy by the magician association.

The mission hall happened to be near the boy’s dormitory, so it only took a short time for Theo, Elliot, Lisa, and John to reach it. They walked up a couple of stone-paved stairs before entering a rather large place, with a red carpet leading directly to the receptionist behind the counter and wide-open mission sections on each side of the hall.

On each mission section, many students were walking around while looking at the hundreds of holographic displays that filled the mission sections, showing different types of missions.

The holographic screens on each mission section showed different types of missions, depending on the contents of the mission. For example, missions that required the subjugation of monsters and criminals happen to be in the hunting section, and missions that required the collecting of magic herbs and similar stuff were in the gathering section.

Theo, John, Elliot, and Lisa stepped on the red carpet, walking straight to the receptionist.

They needed to get officially registered as magicians with a magic matrix before they could accept a mission. For that, they needed to prove they have a magic matrix to one of the many receptionists of the mission hall. So, they went up to one of them and told the beautiful receptionist that they are here to register.

“Please, tell me your name and show me your magic matrix so that I can verify whether or not you’re eligible to take a mission.” The beautiful receptionist with pretty peach-like eyes and pearly white teeth said, telling them to prove that they are magicians with a magic matrix by showing her their magic matrix symbol.

“My name is Elliot Vincent and here is my magic matrix.”

“My name is Theo Rose and my magic matrix is on the back of my left hand.”

“Name’s John Crimson. My magic matrix is engraved on my eyes.”

“My name is Lisa Charlotte. My magic matrix is on the back of my ear.”

They told her their name and showed her their magic symbols one after another as her eyes glowed in a mystical line, scanning whether or not it is a magic matrix, throwing all possibility of anyone cheating by drawing a fake magic symbol on their flesh out the window.

“Wait a moment,” the beautiful receptionist said to them as she tapped away at the keyboard, inputting new information in the database of the magician association, modifying their previous data.

A few moments later, once she was done registering them as magicians with magic matrix, their quantum cards buzzed, showing a star in the middle, signifying that they could now accept and complete missions from the mission sections of the hall.

“Alright, you four are good to go,” she said, telling them that they are now registered as magicians with magic matrix.

That means they could go on a mission!
