Chapter 307 - Thousands Of Worms!
The unholy necropolis had 15 areas, and he was in the fifteenth area. Each was very dense with monsters, and each had many passageways branching off from it. They were like tunnels, and taking them would lead him to the next area. He didn't have a choice. He had to go and explore all the other places as he had to kill 50 unholy elves, kill all types of wyverns, kill flesh-eating spiders, and find out the insidious secret of this place.
He didn't immediately make his way towards the next area.
Instead, he created many hands to pick up the first of his spoils of battle.
Many goodies were shining on the ground, which to him seemed stained with blackish blood and covered with grayish grains of sand. The shiny crystals were shards and pieces of many life orbs. Each of them had many units of the essence of life in them. After picking them up, he brought them close to his face, opened his jaw wide, and put them into his mouth. The moment they came in contact with his hot and corrosive saliva that was hot enough to melt iron, they evaporated into golden mist made out of many units of the essence of life.
[You've devoured many shattered life orbs!]
[You've gained 13808 units of the essence of life!]
After devouring all of the life orbs, his main energy source increased by around ten thousand units. He already had around a million of it, so the addition of such an amount didn't bring an extravagant change to his strength.
The second of his spoils of battle was the undead poison. He could use it in two different ways. The first was to store it in himself. In the future, he could turn a magnificent warrior into his undead slave. The second was to let him undead devour it to increase their strength. As both were beneficial to him, Elliot decided to take half and share the rest between his brethren.
The undead poison was present within the grayish grains and sand. An average person would find it hard to separate the two but not Elliot. His A-ranked ability allowed him to control all the poison in his surroundings, be it his or his enemies. With a mere thought, tiny, almost indiscernible black dots came out of the grayish grains of sand and shot towards him, entering his body.
[You've absorbed 50000 grams of undead poison!]
[As the poison is below the sixth level, it has failed to make any advancement in your A-rank poisonous ability, All-Destroying Poisonous Body!]
[You can use this poison to turn another living being or corpse into your undead slave!]
[It works on anyone below the Magic Lord level!]
Elliot smiled. He could even turn Magic Grandmaster and beasts equivalent to them into his slaves with this poison. It sure was one of the best poisons he had ever come across.
The second effect of the undead poison was to strengthen undead monsters, and he had many himself.
"My Brethrens, it's time to feast!"
Elliot summoned Kayn and the rest of his undead brothers and fed them thousands of grams of undead poison.
Thanks to the undead poison, all seven of his undead wolf-like monsters stepped into the Monster Lord stage. They were strong enough to fight and maybe even beat a magic grandmaster. All of them had gained an additional ability. They had all created a poison sack in their body, and it could produce 200 grams of undead poison every day. It meant that they could eventually make thousands of undead slaves for Elliot.
There were four passageways in this area. Elliot took the one closest to him. It extended for a kilometer, and it was narrow. Only three or five people around his size could stand side by side here. The walls had tiny holes and in them were many worms. It was easy for a person to mistake them for white stones as they were small and looked like one. If it weren't for his godly right eye of wisdom, Elliot would have also judged the insidious books by their cover and fallen prey to these worms.
The moment he reached the center of the passageway, all of them wriggled out of their holes. Their wide opened mouths revealed dozens of sharp teeth and yellowish mucus. It was like a hellish scene, which became even darker as they charged towards him. They surrounded him from all sides, and there were thousands of them. Just as it looked like these worms would attach themselves to Elliot and eat him alive, his entire body turned gray. The ones who brought their truths down at his flesh felt the worst pain of their life. Their teeth shattered, and they fell to the ground. Elliot stomped on them with such force that he squished their rocky bodies. He killed the ones around him as easily as someone trampling on ants.
"I've been for you all to come towards me." Elliot smiled as he looked at the remaining nine hundred or so worms around him. He already knew that they would attack him as soon as he stepped into their trap, but he still went on because he was confident that he would be able to deal with them. He had already made enough preparation to take them all down.
Several hundreds of worms attacked him as they felt confident in their numbers. They believed that they could grasp victory with their numbers!
Elliot was wearing gauntlets on both his hands. Both of them were artifacts. One could release a gale of wind, and the other, a massive breath of flame. He used the red one on his right hand to release the breath of flame around him and create an enormous circle of fire.
Most of the worms stopped, not daring to inch towards the fire. The element of fire was their weakness. They instantly felt fear when they saw it.
Those who didn't stop and charged into the flames got burned to ashes before they could reach Elliot.
