Chapter 128: Hei Xiaolian
Chapter 128: Hei Xiaolian
Hearing his words, the entire army of beasts trembled with rage. Bullying... this was nothing short of outright humiliation!
"Alright, jokes aside," Yun Wuji continued, his tone growing colder, "You have two choices. Either you voluntarily surrender your cores to me, and I will spare your descendants," he paused briefly, then added, "Or resist, and I will massacre every last one of you and send your descendants to join you."
Humans have profound veins, while beasts have beast cores. However, unlike humans, who can live a normal life without profound veins, beasts cannot survive without their cores. So in other words, this man was essentially asking them to die!
"Enough! Who do you think you are?!" The Blue Dragon could no longer hold his rage. With a furious roar, he charged forward, intent on tearing Yun Wuji apart.
"Kill!"
"Kill! Kill! Kill!"
"Avenger our fallen brothers!"
At the Blue Dragon's command, the beast army surged forward in a torrent, moving like a rolling storm that covered the entire sky. The sight was nothing short of horrifying. Their massive forms blotted out the heavens as they charged relentlessly toward their enemies, a tidal wave of rage and bloodlust that promised nothing but destruction.
"Second choice is it then," Yun Wuji muttered before raising his left hand.
Suddenly, everything froze. The beasts rushing toward them, roaring in fury, were instantly immobilized. Even the Blue Dragon and the White Snake, at the forefront of the charge, stood still, their bodies frozen mid-motion. The world seemed to come to a sudden halt, as if time itself had been stopped, leaving behind an unsettling silence, only disturbed by the faint rustle of the wind.
The only part of their bodies that remained able to move were their eyes, and they fixed them on Yun Wuji, their gazes filled with horror and disbelief.
"I can understand your indignation," Yun Wuji said, his tone calm as he addressed them. "You think what I did is unreasonable, even wicked, right?" He didn't strike immediately, instead continuing, "But didn't each of you kill millions of life forms to feed and raise your strength? I'm just doing the same. No hard feelings, really. You just happened to be the source I need to raise my cultivation."
Almost simultaneously, the eyes of all the beasts shrank in shock. A chilling cold spread through their bodies and the sensation of death had never felt so imminent. They wanted to open their mouths to beg for mercy, but an invisible force bound them, and despite their desperate struggles, they couldn't move a single muscle.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Sorry, but for the greater good, I ask you all to die," Yun Wuji whispered, his tone calm. Beside him, Huan Caiyi couldn't help but twitch the corner of her lips. 'This guy is so shameless, what does he even mean by 'the greater good'?'
Under the watchful eyes of the helpless beasts, the hand he had raised slowly clenched into a fist.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
In an instant, and almost simultaneously, the massive bodies of the beasts erupted, bursting into a gruesome shower of blood and flesh. The gore rained down upon the land, staining the ground a deep, crimson red.
This once-mighty army, capable of leveling the three continents even if they were ten times stronger, was utterly annihilated with a single move!
"Order the people to collect the cores and send them to me. As for the rest of their bodies, do whatever you see fit with it." Yun Wuji said, patting Huan Caiyi's shoulder. For a brief moment, he considered patting her plump butt, but he decided against it, there were just too many people watching.
"Hmm, don't worry, I'll handle the rest," Huan Caiyi nodded, then leaned forward, planting a quick kiss on his lips. She whispered softly, "When I return tonight, I want my reward~"
"Hmm, I'll make sure to give my empress plenty of hard and thick 'rewards,"" Yun Wuji chuckled before stepping into the spatial crack and vanishing.
Time flowed like a fleeting breeze, and in the blink of an eye, more than a year slipped quietly.
In front of a secluded room within the Yun Palace, Yun Wuji stood a few meters away, pacing back and forth.
"Master, why are you so impatient? That little brat should be out soon," The Evil Infant, sitting between his shoulders, couldn't stand the pacing and said.
"... You're right, I am a bit anxious," Yun Wuji admitted, stopping in his tracks. Suddenly, a thought crossed his mind, and he looked at her. "I've been calling you the Evil Infant for so long. Do you want a name?"
"What? Really?" The Evil Infant suddenly jumped from his shoulder, landing in front of his face and pulling his cheeks looking at him with wide-open eyes. "You're not lying, right?!"
The Evil Infant's reaction surprised Yun Wuji. He hadn't expected her to show so much emotion over this. He nodded and replied, "Of course. I actually meant to tell you this years ago, but I thought you didn't like the idea since you never brought it up."
"Hehehe! Hahaha! Finally, I'll have a name too!" The Evil Infant didn't seem to hear his words. She floated around, shouting in pure happiness.
"Say, say, what is my name?" After expressing her happiness, she turned to Yun Wuji and asked eagerly.
"You like the color black, you're small, cute, and sometimes mischievous, so your name is Hei Xiaolian!" Yun Wuji said, gently lifting her small body into his hand.
"Hei Xiaolian... Xiaolian... good... good... I like it, hehehe!" Hei Xiaolian muttered her new name, nodding her head repeatedly. At the same time, tears fell from her eyes. She looked at him with a wide smile and said, "I never thought there would be someone who would take care of me, play with me, give me delicious food, and even grant me a name. Master, thank
you!"
"...Hmm," Yun Wuji didn't know what to say to her at this moment. In the end, he pulled her tiny body into his arms and silently patted her back.
"What are you doing?" Suddenly, the door of the room opened, and Jasmine's voice rang out. She looked at them with a strange expression before gazing at Yun Wuji with contemptuous eyes. "So, you finally decided to lay your hands on this wicked thing?"
"Who are you calling wicked, you fucking tsundere!" Hei Xiaolian jumped from his arms and shouted angrily at Jasmine. "I have a name! Call me Hei Xiaolian!"
"Hei Xiaolian?" Jasmine tilted her head, looking a bit confused. Then she snorted coldly and said, "Hmph! That suits a wicked thing like you."
Both of them glared at each other, sparks flying as their gazes locked. Finally, they snorted in unison and looked away. "Hmph!"
"Congratulations, you successfully managed to recreate your body," Yun Wuji said, his gaze lingering on Jasmine's body for a moment before speaking.
After nearly two years, the poison inside her was completely cleansed. With the enhanced efficiency of the Sky Poison Pearl, now possessing a spirit, and Jasmine never using her
profound energy, which prevented the poison from rebounding, the purification process happened much faster than in the novel.
"Hmph! Even though this is the first time I've used this technique, with your Divine Origin's blood essence, the process was smoother than I expected," Jasmine crossed her arms under her busty chest, drawing a graceful arc, and said in a haughty tone.
Yep, you read it right, she isn't flat!
Over a year ago, Hei Xiaolian tricked Jasmine into giving up her food in exchange for the spirit-thickening technique Yun Wuji had given her. Since then, Jasmine had been using it, and it had caused her body to blossom into a busty beauty.
Wearing a red dress, Jasmine had grown taller. Her long, silky scarlet hair cascaded down her back, and her mesmerizing face had become even more bewitching.
Her red eyes, still piercingly cold, softened whenever they landed on Yun Wuji. Her once flat chest had transformed into a pair of full, alluring breasts, and her waist had become curvier,
forming a seductive S-shape.
"How much of your strength have you recovered?" Yun Wuji's gaze didn't linger on her body for long. He quickly focused, asking her the important question.
"10%. Originally, it would have taken me more than a year to fully recover, but with the help of your Light Profound Energy, that time can be shortened to just a few weeks," Jasmine replied, walking to him. After a brief pause, she added, "But even with my current strength, I can easily locate the so-called Primordial Profound Ark you're searching for, as long as it's within the space around or close to this planet."
