Chapter 80 - High-End Operation
Chapter 80: High-End Operation
Li Ran immediately took out the pistol from her waist bag.
“Will this work?”
Wang Gang chuckled and said, “It’s good to be simple and crude.”
Yang Shao came over and interrupted their conversation, “Is your gun a silencer type?”
“No.”
Li Ran lowered her head and looked at the keyhole. It was beyond recognition. There were already a few bullet holes in it. However, the door was still sealed. A gun would obviously not work.
Just as she was trying to figure out another way, Yang Shao suddenly pulled her to the side.
“Put the gun away. I have experience with picking locks.”
Yang Shao inserted a small metal pin into the keyhole and began moving it around. After a slight vibration, the door clicked and opened.
Wang Gang was dumbfounded.
“You have superpowers?”
“No. I was just picking a lock.”
Yang Shao kept the metal pin and slightly pushed the door. He was signaling Wang Gang to enter first.
However, Wang Gang stood still and did not move an inch. He was angry.
“If you can pick locks, why didn’t you say so earlier? All the while, you made me open locked doors even though I had a lot of trouble with them. Are you just showing off in front of a beautiful woman?”
Yang Shao’s gaze fell on Li Ran. She was indeed a beauty. Everyone was covered in dirt, but she was still fair and clean.
“You were always so focused and serious, so I didn’t want to interrupt you,” saidYang Shao in a cheeky tone.
He really deserved a beating,
Wang Gang’s hands were itching.
He gave him a solid punch in the chest.
Yang Shao immediately bent down and groaned in pain.
“F*ck! Did you really just hit me? Why don’t you save your strength to kill zombies?”
Wang Gang gave him another kick before opening the door. He peeped into the room and looked around. It seemed that there was no danger, so he walked in.
“We’ve hit the jackpot, my friends. I don’t think anyone has been here before.”
Wang Gang could barely hide his excitement.
Li Ran looked at the thick door and then at Yang Shao. She asked curiously, “Is it easy to pick locks? Can you open other doors?”
Yang Shao replied, “Not all, but I can open most of them. Different locks have different requirements.”
“I see.”
Li Ran had learned a lot. She did not know that lockpicking would come in so useful.
The two of them entered the room. There was a strong musty smell because the ventilations were turned off.
Li Ran rushed out as soon as she entered the room. She almost vomited and lost her courage to re-enter.
Yang Shao was pinching his nose. He followed Li Ran and asked in a concerned tone, “Are you alright? Why don’t you just wait outside? We’ll handle the heavy lifting.”
Meanwhile, Wang Gang opened a box. There were bottles of mineral water in it. He brought the box out with a great deal of effort since it was quite heavy.
“These things are literally treasures.”
Wang Gang’s smile was so wide that it almost reached the back of his head. He looked at Li Ran and comforted her, “Li Ran, you should rest here for a while. This place is also full of rotten fruits and yogurt. The stench is strong. I’ll go in by myself.”
As soon as he said that, he entered the room again.
Yang Shao was already used to it. Wang Gang would be thrilled whenever they found supplies.
The more things there were, the more excited he would be.
He looked around to see if there were any carts that they could use to transport the supplies.
Unfortunately, there was none nearby so he had to go search for them. Before he left, he opened a bottle of water for Li Ran and told her to get some rest.
Li Ran took his advice but after a short while, she began to organize the things that Wang Gang had brought out. There were five boxes of mineral water, two boxes of iced black tea, two boxes of coke, and ten barrels of tap water.
