Chapter 206: Ice Vs Magma Part 2
[: Daniel POV :]
As the annihilation of the monsters subsided, I knew that merely slaying hundreds of thousands wasn't sufficient to draw out the Tribe Leader.
All I knew was that the Tribe Leader would only emerge when it felt threatened.
The only way to summon it is through force.
Coincidently, my plan of summoning the Tribe Leader had come through.
All of a sudden, the volcanic surroundings were erupting.
From each volcano's fiery eruption, dozens of monsters of humanoid bug magma monsters emerged.
At the same time, the sky itself seemed to bleed red, not from the setting sun, but from the sheer numbers of these monsters.
Their numbers were beyond measure.
If counting by my eyes, their numbers had reached millions.
What's even more terrifying is that each one of them was a Transcendent Monster.
With their horde of numbers now, the air grew thick with their malevolence.
As the sky bled by this ominous tide, it became clear that facing the Tribe Leader wouldn't happen until I eliminated every single one of its kind.
Looking at the myriad of monstrous entities appearing out of the sky, I summoned my weapon.
Immediately, Ragnarok had materialized in my grasp.
However, I decided to change its form into the shape of a bow.
Instantly, the bow itself underwent an alteration.
However, once the Bow had altered, I infused it with my authority over the Element of Ice.
The once fearsome Ragnarok had now transformed into a manifestation of an ice weapon.
I would like to call it, the Crystal Ice Bow.
Its form sparkled with an icy radiance, it was a mixture of frozen elegance and lethal precision.
Now that the Ice Bow had formed, I was ready to destroy the incoming swarm of monsters.
As I aimed the Bow towards the swarm of monsters and gently drew the bowstring, the surroundings around me turned into Ice.
Before I could even shoot, it seemed that the effects of my new attack were quite terrifying.
With a singular, fluid motion, I released the tension on the bowstring, unleashing a volley of ice-laden arrows into the encroaching swarm.
The projectiles soared through the crimson sky, their icy tips leaving trails of frost in their travel.
Upon reaching the monstrous horde, the arrows burst into freezing tempests, locking each creature in a spectral embrace of frost.
It was a beautiful scenery where each of the monsters froze to death before exploding.
One by one, all of the monsters exploded into the essence of Ice, and the crimson sky had now turned it a clear blue sky.
However, this was still not the end as more monsters emerged.
At the same time, the Volcanoes kept erupting
where an overwhelming number of monsters kept emerging.
However, even if their numbers reach billions, it doesn't change the outcome.
With my bow pointing towards the sky, I gathered the essence of Ice.
As the energy was being manifested, the surroundings around my crackled.
Afterwards, I shot the arrows towards the monsters, freezing and killing them once again.
However, their numbers kept multiplying as they kept emerging.
Even so, I continued my onslaught, freezing and shattering countless magma monsters with the Crystal Ice Bow.
After the tenth wave, I shot the final arrow the sky was cleared and the volcanoes stopped erupting.
However, all of a sudden, S deafening explosion erupted from the heart of a volcano.
It sent shockwaves that rippled through the ground, creating cracks in some parts.
I knew what was about to happen, and it meant the arrival of the Tribe Leader.
The once silent Tribe Leader now unleashed its fiery wrath, revealing the true terror that lurked within.
It was similar to an eruption, however, what came out from one of the volcanoes wasn't magma, but a hand that was in the form of magma.
Then, like a nightmare unfolding across the desolate landscape, another magma hand came out from another Volcanoes.
Eventually, it spewed forth a monstrous entity that was bigger than the mountain itself.
The Tribe Leader had finally emerged, an existence that was a mixture of magma and malevolence.
Its colossal form stretched towards the heavens, obliterating everything in its sight.
Each time it took a step, the ground quaked beneath the weight of its monstrous presence, and the air swirled with searing heat.
The Tribe Leader's eyes, burning with an unholy fervour, fixated on me.
It flexed its molten wings, sending ripples of heat through the air.
The fiery glow from its eyes intensified as it let out a guttural roar.
"Who dares to disturb my slumber!?"
The monster's roar echoed through the land.
At the same time, spits of molten magma sprayed from its mouth, creating dozens of fiery meteorites falling from the heavens.
"Is it you, puny human!?"
The monster's colossal form shifted, its eyes fixing upon me with an intensity that seemed to pierce through the very fabric of reality.
In response to its challenge, I met its gaze unflinchingly.
"So what if I am?"
I retorted with a calm voice despite the chaotic background.
The behemoth's response was swift and filled with malice.
"Then you shall die!"
The air itself seemed to thicken as the monster prepared to unleash its wrath upon me.
In a surreal slow-motion movement, its massive magma hand descended towards me with the intent to crush me into oblivion.
However, I had other plans.
I stretched out my hand, intercepting the monstrous magma hand with an explosive force.
The impact resonated like a thunderous crack, shattering the entire arm of the magma giant.
The shattered magma hand splits into debris where it lands on the ground.
The monster roared in pain and fury, its wrath intensifying as it faced a mortal capable of destroying its might.
Due to the ricochet, the monster's colossal form crashed to the ground and the sheer force of its fall created a mini earthquake that sent tremors through the inferno land.
Rocks and debris scattered like leaves in a storm, emphasizing the impact of our clash.
"It cannot be! How is this possible!?"
The monster's roar reverberated with disbelief, its towering figure momentarily shaken by the unexpected turn of events.
The notion that a mere human could inflict such damage seemed inconceivable to the colossal entity.
However, the beast showed no signs of surrender.
In a display of primal resilience, its remaining hand touched the scorched earth, immediately absorbing the essence of the Earth Element.
The molten remnants of its lost limb formed into a new, formidable hand.
As the monster regained its composure, the crimson sky above transformed into an ominous background.
Dozens of fiery meteorites materialized, each resembling a small village in size.
If this were to happen on Earth, I'm sure countless countries would fall into ruins, and none of them have the chance to retaliate.
Moreover, seeing such a sight, reminded me of a scenery that I had in the alternate future.
Instantly, I transformed the Crystal Ice Bow into a fan.
At the same time, once I had gathered and channelled enough Ice essences, I swept the fan through the scarlet sky.
Immediately, a chilling tempest that manifested into a breathtaking ice storm appeared.
Once the Icestorm had impacted all of the Meteorites, it gradually transformed the fiery meteorites into ice sculptures.
However, this wasn't the end.
With a subtle twist of my fingers, I redirected all of the frozen meteorites and hurled them towards the colossal monster.
Once, the ice-encrusted meteorites collided with the monster, all of the Meteorites exploded, causing some damage to the Monster.
The colossal monster, now faced with the icy onslaught, roared in disbelief.
Reacting swiftly, it intensified its body heat, causing all of the Meteorite ice to melt away into a steaming mist.
In response, the creature conjured a deadly rain of magma swords, each gleaming with the searing intensity of molten fury.
If I counted with my eyes, their numbers were thousands and without a doubt, if all of the swords fell, this land would be destroyed.
Did the monster not care about its home?
Nevertheless, to counter its attack, I raised my palm and invoked the power of Karma Calamity.
Suddenly, gravitational force emerged within the centre of my palm.
Seconds later when the magma swords descended, my plan drew all of the swords into my grasp.
It was like a black hole that sucks anything in its path.
The Magma blades that were once thought to be a rain of destruction, were now under my control.
With precision and focus, I pointed my palm towards the towering monster and unleashed the stored energy within the absorbed swords.
Due to the unique ability of Karma Calamity, all of the magma swords that I had absorbed had multiplied.
As the sword impacted the monster, it exploded.
The creature, now besieged by its own weapon turned against it, writhed in agony.
It would never expected that it would be attacked by its own form of attack.
But of course, it wouldn't be enough to kill it.
