Alchemy Sovereign with Divine Soul

Chapter 1

C1 – Rebirth! Facesmacking!

In the Dragon Abyss Empire, nestled within Clear Water Town, lay the secluded back mountain of the Jiaang family.

“Young Master Jiaang, surely you haven’t beaten him to death?”

A group of Jiaang family disciples, clad in white training attire, stared in astonishment at the young man sprawled on the ground, his body marred with wounds.

“Humph! He’s nothing but trash. If he dies, he had it coming!”

At the center stood a seventeen-year-old youth, Jiaang Ren, who spoke with a dismissive air. A disciple from the Jiaang family of Clear Water Town, he was known for his overbearing and unreasonable demeanor.

“What’s happening to me…”

As Jiaang Ren conversed with the other disciples, the injured young man on the ground, Jiaang Lin, slowly opened his eyes, filled with bewilderment.

“Young Master Jiaang, look! That waste of space, Jiaang Lin, isn’t dead yet!”

One of the disciples exclaimed upon noticing Jiaang Lin’s eyes fluttering open.

“Hmm? Still alive?”

Jiaang Ren approached swiftly, lifting his foot to ruthlessly stomp towards Jiaang Lin’s chest, intent on finishing him off.

On the ground, Jiaang Lin’s gaze hardened as he quickly rolled away, narrowly avoiding Jiaang Ren’s deadly stomp.

“Eh?”

Jiaang Ren paused, taken aback that Jiaang Lin, whom he considered worthless, still had the energy to dodge his blow.

“Jiaang Ren?”

Recognition dawned on Jiaang Lin’s face as he took in the sight of the young man before him and the disciples behind him, his eyes betraying his astonishment.

“Could it be… I’ve been reborn back into my youth?”

Jiaang Lin was struck with incredulity.

In his past life, Jiaang Lin was a disciple of the Jiaang family in Clear Water Town, scorned for his blocked meridians which prevented him from practicing martial arts, rendering him the family’s laughingstock.

But after a serendipitous event cleared his meridians and awakened his dual Battle Souls, he emerged as a once-in-a-millennium prodigy on the Divine Martial Continent.

With his exceptional talent, Jiaang Lin swiftly ascended to greatness, mastering both Martial Dao and Pill Dao. He became the preeminent First Pill Refining Master, earning the title of Pill Saint, and was venerated by countless beings!

On the brink of ascending to a higher realm, Jiaang Lin faced the Celestial Tribulation Crossing. Regrettably, the unresolved regrets from his past life gave rise to inner demons, leading to his failure and death during the tribulation.

Unexpectedly, after the failed tribulation, he found himself reborn in his teenage years. Jiaang Lin vividly recalled being sixteen, the exact moment when Jiaang Ren, accompanied by other Jiaang family disciples, was humiliating and brutally beating him. Had it not been for his remarkable resilience, Jiaang Lin would have perished at the hands of Jiaang Ren, never to awaken his twin Battle Souls or rise to become the preeminent warrior and First Pill Refining Master of the Divine Martial Continent.

The Divine Martial Continent was a world where martial prowess was paramount, and the strong were revered. Those capable of cultivating martial arts were known as cultivators, divided into nine major realms: Body Refining Stage, Qi Gathering Stage, Pill Transforming Stage, Infant Birth Stage, Embryo Breaking Stage, Nether Connecting Stage, Yin Yang Stage, Nirvana Stage, and Void God Stage, each with nine levels.

At the zenith of martial arts, cultivators could traverse the skies, command the oceans, and grasp the moon and stars, their power boundless. Hence, martial arts were universally esteemed across the Divine Martial Continent.

Because strength was honored above all, Jiaang Lin, with his obstructed meridians preventing him from cultivating, was deemed worthless by the Jiaang family people and frequently suffered abuse and beatings at the hands of the Jiaang family disciples.

“So, Xue, Father, and all my brothers and friends…” Jiaang Lin whispered, his long-dormant heart now unable to conceal its warmth and excitement.

”You’re quite tenacious for a good-for-nothing, still alive after such grave injuries?” Jiaang Ren remarked with a malicious grin.

His taunt snapped Jiaang Lin back to reality. “If you, Jiaang Ren, are still alive, how could I possibly die before you?” Brushing the blood from his lips, Jiaang Lin rose to his feet, his gaze piercingly cold as he fixed his eyes on Jiaang Ren, filled with an icy resolve.

The icy glare in Jiaang Ren’s eyes made his heart skip a beat, giving him the unsettling feeling of being preyed upon by a wild beast.

He suddenly sensed that the once worthless Jiaang Lin standing before him had undergone a transformation.

But what had caused this change? Jiaang Ren couldn’t pinpoint the reason.

“You insolent fool! Today, I, Young Master Jiaang, will put an end to you!”

Jiaang Ren’s face grew stern, and he strode forward with determination. His right fist clenched, he launched a powerful blow aimed at Jiaang Lin’s chest.

“Humph!”

With a cold snort, Jiaang Lin shifted his body slightly, effortlessly evading Jiaang Ren’s attack.

In his past life, he was the preeminent warrior of the Divine Martial Continent. Even now, reborn into his younger self and without an awakened Battle Soul or having entered the Body Refining Stage, his vast combat experience from his previous life made dodging Jiaang Ren’s punch child’s play.

“How is this possible?”

Jiaang Ren’s face hardened with disbelief. The Jiaang family disciples watching were equally dumbfounded. They had not expected Jiaang Lin, whom they knew as nothing more than a meridian-blocked weakling, to dodge Jiaang Ren’s punch.

Unlike Jiaang Lin, Jiaang Ren, though he had not awakened his Battle Soul or entered the Body Refining Stage, had trained in the Martial Club of the Jiaang family for a couple of years. Handling someone like Jiaang Lin, who was ignorant of martial arts, should have been effortless.

Yet, to their amazement, Jiaang Lin, the so-called martial arts ignoramus, had just nimbly sidestepped Jiaang Ren’s punch. Their surprise was palpable.

Could it be mere coincidence?

That thought solidified in the minds of the Jiaang family disciples. It had to be a fluke!

How could Jiaang Lin possibly evade Jiaang Ren’s fist?

“Die!”

Shaking off his astonishment, Jiaang Ren bellowed in rage, his left fist arcing toward Jiaang Lin’s face.

With serene poise, Jiaang Lin leaned back just enough to dodge the punch with ease. In the same fluid motion, he delivered a swift kick directly to Jiaang Ren’s groin!

A heart-wrenching scream reverberated across the back mountain of the Jiaang family, refusing to fade away. Jiaang Ren, with both hands clutching his groin, writhed in agony. He collapsed to the ground, his body contorted into a shrimp-like curl, his face deathly pale. He had never anticipated Jiaang Lin’s viciousness—to aim a direct kick at his groin!

The few Jiaang family disciples who witnessed how effortlessly Jiaang Ren was brought down by Jiaang Lin were visibly more astonished. It became clear to them that Jiaang Lin’s earlier evasion of Jiaang Ren’s assault was no fluke; he genuinely possessed the skill.

Now, these disciples began to doubt their initial assessment of Jiaang Lin. Could he really be the useless individual they thought he was, with no knowledge of martial arts?

“You didn’t have enough strength; I couldn’t finish you off. Consider yourself lucky!” Jiaang Lin said, his face breaking into a sunny smile as he looked at the pained expression on Jiaang Ren’s face.

Jiaang Ren tried to respond, but the searing pain in his groin sapped all his strength, leaving him only able to glare at Jiaang Lin with venomous eyes, as if wishing he could tear him limb from limb.

“Are all of you going to come at me together, or do you want me to send you packing?” Jiaang Lin asked, his gaze cold as he addressed the hesitant Jiaang family disciples.

The disciples exchanged uncertain glances. They were a group of undisciplined scions who only half-heartedly practiced martial arts at the Martial Club, their hearts not truly in it. If they couldn’t handle Jiaang Ren together, what chance did they stand against Jiaang Lin?

Hadn’t they just seen Jiaang Ren reduced to convulsions from a single kick to the groin by Jiaang Lin?

In that moment, the Jiaang family disciples, along with Jiaang Ren, beat a hasty retreat, fearing that Jiaang Lin might turn his attention to them next.

“Ouch! It hurts so much—I haven’t experienced such intense pain in ages!”

Once the Jiaang family disciples had scurried away in disarray, Jiaang Lin sucked in a sharp breath, wincing in agony. Gone were the days when he was the paramount warrior of the Divine Martial Continent, whose very stomp could make the land tremble. Now, he was merely a vulnerable youth.

The wounds he bore were severe enough to confine Jiaang Lin to his bed for a month or two to recover.

Had it not been for his reincarnation, with the resilient will from his past life, he would have been utterly devoid of the strength to even twitch. How could he have possibly stood a chance against Jiaang Ren?

“Xue, Father, I have returned. From this moment forward, I will not let anyone harm or deceive you.

I will personally see to it that all of our past enemies are eradicated!”

Seated in meditation, Jiaang Lin’s gaze swept over the vast expanse of Clear Water Town, his eyes settling on the Jiaang family mansion below. A smile curled at the corner of his mouth, his eyes alight with unwavering resolve.

In that instant, Jiaang Lin vowed to himself that if fate had granted him a second chance at life, he would safeguard his past lovers and friends, and vanquish his old adversaries and rivals.

He would not repeat the mistakes of his past life, helplessly watching as those dear to him perished before his eyes.

Armed with the knowledge and skills of martial and Pill Dao from his previous existence, he was determined to alter his destiny in this life!

Defying fate, he would ascend to the pinnacle once more!.
