Chapter 74- Rage
Chapter 74- Rage
[Inside Kyle's sub-consciousness]
'Where am I...?' Last time he was in a void with nothing to gaze at, however, this time he was able to see something.
He was able to see....a small plant.
The plant had no distinctive feature that could have made him realise its name or from what family it belongs.
Just Kyle hung there in the middle of nowhere and the plant's pattern was carved out of golden orbs—making it look like a constellation.
There were many stars in this space however, only one constellation he could see. And that plant was currently moving.
There were two kinds of orbs—white and golden. Those which were not in the constellation were white. Currently, the plant is in the process of bringing a set of stars to spread its branches.
It felt like he was hanging in a planetarium, watching the stars in the highest quality with a VR. However, he very well knew that all of this was real.
'What is this....is this related to me?' He could see three leaves already extended in different directions and now a fourth one was being connected to it.
Kyle didn't have any control over his body, as such he could only wait for the orbs to get connected and another petal could become part of the plant.
And until then, all he could do was wait.

[In the courtroom]
Alatia was crouching beside Kyle while the others looked at them with varying gazes.
Edmund couldn't believe what he was looking at. He could see that there was clear evidence of Kyle being a Dark Mage but he still couldn't register it completely.
The Emperor and the first Prince had an indifferent look on their faces since they expected it. The evidence clearly showed that Kyle was involved with Cursed Magic and as such, this conclusion was inevitable.
Now their sole duty was to comfort Alatia and make her forget about Kyle. The Emperor had even decided her fiancé would be able to comfort the princess at her low time.
The Empresses were devastated to see their daughter being in such a condition. However, under their husband's wordless command, they didn't reach out to her.
Edward shared a glance with his father, before stepping forward and speaking up, "I or father or anyone else in the family would never do anything to harm you, Tia-"
*Slap*
The hand which was about to touch her shoulder was slapped away—startling Edward and making the Emperor's eyes widen.
Flaming red eyes that contained nothing but anger were directed at the first Prince. That expression was not something anyone in the family had ever seen in Alatia. She was not angry, she was beyond furious.
There was a sudden snapping sound and her heavenly wings suddenly appeared.
Each feather seemed to shimmer with an ethereal glow, casting a radiant halo around her. The wings were vast and imposing, their pristine whiteness stark against the dark surroundings. They stretched out with a powerful, intimidating grace, each movement accompanied by a deep, resonant flutter. The air around her crackled with energy, the sheer presence of the wings demanding awe and reverence, as if she were a celestial being descended from the heavens.
One could tell just by being present there that the air in the courtroom had turned heavy. The soldiers were on guard—ready to act the moment the Princess showed any sign of an aggressive approach toward the Emperor or the Prince.
Edward's face was marred with a frown as he stared at his sister in an alert manner. Her demeanour oozed with danger and her eyes betrayed any faith he had that she wouldn't harm him out of familial passion.
"You have hurt him...." Her eyes were completely covered in blood. The traces of her usual bright violet eyes were gone. All one could look at was an enraged goddess.
*Crack*
The floor of the palace cracked under the sheer force she was radiating.
The Commander signalled and the guards were already circling the Princess.
However, the moment their spears reached her—their body was frozen solid. The group of elite soldiers died under the unconscious assault of the Heavenly Being.
"You....hurt...him..." Her voice contained the fury which Edward had caused.
The blond Prince was now feeling nervous. But not for his life but rather, for Alatia. Everyone who knows about Divine Awakened knows how many problems they have to face every time they awaken their heavenly component.
"Tia...please listen to me. Everything I did was to protect you." There haven't been many occurrences when Edward sounded this helpless and looked so anxious.
One could tell just by looking at him how much grief he was feeling looking at his sister right now.
"Protect...protect....protect....NOW PROTECT YOURSELF!" Her loud yell overlapped with the booming sound that arrived as she launched herself forward—aiming for Edward.
The blond Prince closed his eyes and was ready to accept the fate his sister had decided for him.
The two Empresses yelled out for Alatia and Edmund was already off his throne to pull away his elder brother. However, the distance was far too much for him to reach there.
Edward awaited whatever punishment his Tia had in store...however, even after waiting for a few seconds...nothing happened.
Opening his eyes he found a back facing him and a familiar face currently shielding him.
"Aiden?" Edward couldn't believe that his youngest brother actually bothered to arrive here and save him.
Aiden raised his hand and his psychokinesis was holding Alatia in one place. He didn't look like he was struggling but in reality, he felt like he was holding against three giant ogres at once.
"Seriously, how messed can you be to turn our sister like this?"
His voice didn't only hold mockery but frustration as well. Seeing Alatia like this was something that broke Aiden's heart. Thinking back, he was regretting not being here since the beginning.
Gaining no reply from Edward, Aiden scoffed and focused on his sister. Her mind was clustered with thoughts and each one of them was quite disturbing.
He penetrated through her mental defences and telepathically told her,
[He is alive.]
"----!!" The voice she heard instantly froze her body and her eyes went round.
She spun on her feet and looked at Kyle who still was lying on the ground. However, faintly, she could hear his breath and his fingers were trembling slightly as well.
He was alive. He was alive!!
************
A/N:- This was not in their plan, I assure you. But thankfully there was someone to handle Alatia or the whole roya
l family would have met their end today.
Goddamn, how would she react to Kyle having a harem....
