Chapter 103: Pt.2
Chapter 103: Pt.2
"Who knows? They might be together right now."
Xu Chuanchuan hit the mark with her guess.
Inside a spacious hotel suite, the laptop on the table remained on, and the screensaver was that of a little goldfish spitting bubbles.
The bedside lamp gave off a dim and ambiguous glow that illuminated the two people lying back to back on the bed. Suddenly, Fang Qin's phone rang, followed by Ange's phone ringing a second later. Both of them had received the same reply.
Fang Qin pursed her lips and smiled when she saw the words "Thank you."
The person beside Fang Qin, however, showed no reactions.
After putting down her phone, Fang Qin turned around and wrapped an arm around the other person on the bed, her arm coincidentally pressing down onto those two soft bundles.
Ange gasped from the sudden physical contact, her hand nearly dropping her phone.
Fang Qin planted a soft kiss on the side of Ange's neck. Then, moving her mouth up to Ange's ear, she asked, "What are you thinking about?"
After doing it once in the day and another time in the evening, Ange had already exhausted most of her energy. Yet, her body had seemingly become a bottomless pit of desire as it began heating up from just a casual touch.
After acclimatizing herself to Fang Qin's touch and steadying her breath, Ange said, "I'm just wondering that since they've gotten married, should we give them a red packet?"
"We?"
"..."
Fang Qin rubbed her dry fingers against one of Ange's breasts. While listening to her new girlfriend's soft gasps, she tenderly smiled and said, "Okay. Let's wrap them a big one."
Ange knew that she had misspoken, but she was too late to correct herself. Sensing something swelling up on the breast Fang Qin caressed, Ange gritted her teeth and held down the misbehaving hand. "Stop fooling around."
Fang Qin stopped her actions but did not remove her hand. Instead, she said, "Go to sleep if you're tired."
Ange reached the bedside lamp with just the reach of a hand. Then, with the flick of a switch, the room suddenly went dark.
Along with her loss of sight, Ange found the sensitivity of her other sensory organs being amplified. Now, she could hear both her and Fang Qin's breaths. The arm resting on her breasts also made her feel itchy, so she tried moving it away bit by bit.
Fang Qin didn't get annoyed by Ange's actions. Instead, she moved her arm down and rested it on Ange's waist.
Realizing that Fang Qin wouldn't be removing her arm, Ange let out an inaudible sigh as she thought to herself, Whatever. Just let her be.
"Tang Xin," Fang Qin called out to Ange in a whisper, her thin palm pressed against Ange's lower abdomen.
"What?"
"How about moving in with me?"
"..." Ange's droopy eyes snapped wide open when she heard Fang Qin's question. Then, staring at the darkness in front of her, she asked, "Why should I move in with you?"
Subsequently, Ange heard rustling sounds coming from behind her as Fang Qin flipped her body around. Then, the two of them "stared" at each other in the dark.
"It's expensive to stay in a hotel," Fang Qin said while enjoying Ange's scent.
"It's still affordable," Ange nonchalantly replied.
"I know you do not lack money," Fang Qin said. Then, taking on a softer tone, she continued, "But it's inconvenient for me to visit you."
"Since it's inconvenient, don't come in the future."
Ange's words momentarily stumped Fang Qin. However, instead of getting angry, she smiled and applied more force on the arm wrapped around Ange's waist. Then, she asked, "Are those your true thoughts?"
"..." Of course not.
After waiting for several seconds and receiving no reply, Fang Qin regarded Ange's silence as acquiescence to her suggestion. Then, she kissed Ange in the dark and happily smiled, saying, "Let's move your things tomorrow."
"Is there a need to be in such a hurry?"
"Mhm. I can't wait for even a moment longer."
Ange also started smiling. Then, she asked, "Are you thinking of raising me?"
"I'm willing to do that."
"What if I refuse?"
"You won't refuse," Fang Qin said. Then, she put her other hand on one of Ange's breasts and gently rubbed it.
"..." Suddenly, Ange had a feeling that she would one day die on the bed after falling into the hands of the woman before her.
The next day, Murong Shi woke up and saw that Fang Qin had sent her a red packet through WeChat. The red packet was sent in the name of Fang Qin herself and Ange. Although it wasn't a large sum of money, Murong Shi decided to accept it when she saw the words of blessings that came along with it. Then, she told Xu Chuanchuan about this matter.
Xu Chuanchuan was still half asleep, so she drowsily asked, "Should we invite them out for a meal?"
Then, Murong Shi called Fang Qin without hesitation and asked the new couple out for a meal.
However, Fang Qin said, "I'm moving today, so I don't have time."
"You're moving? Where are you moving to this time?"
"It's not me who's moving. Tang Xin is going to move into my place."
Murong Shi was very surprised by this news. However, she also found it to be reasonable, so she teasingly said, "You sure moved quickly."
"I can't help it. I'm afraid she'll run away if I'm too slow."
Since they wouldn't be dining with Fang Qin and Ange, Murong Shi decided to bring Xu Chuanchuan back to the Murong household. However, after pondering for a while, Xu Chuanchuan said, "Can we go back a little later?"
"Do you have something you need to do?"
Linda had helped them take many pictures yesterday, and Xu Chuanchuan felt satisfied with every one of them. So, after thinking about it all night, she decided to print out those photos and turn them into a photo album.
Murong Shi strongly agreed with Xu Chuanchuan's idea after hearing about it.
Coincidentally, it was the weekend, and the company had a printer capable of printing photos. So, the two of them stuck into the printing room while nobody else was in the company.
Xu Chuanchuan had previously printed photos for work before, so she had an easy time manipulating the equipment in the printing room. First, she spent two hours arranging the photos page by page with Photoshop. Then, she printed out the pages, laminated them, punched holes into them, and filed them into an album.
The album's cover was made of two pieces of cardboard wrapped in pink paper. Xu Chuanchuan found the cover's design monotonous, so she scribbled on it with some oil-based colored pens. To finish things off, Murong Shi held Xu Chuanchuan's hand and wrote the word "We" on the front cover in large fonts. She also drew a heart around the word.
Finally, the two of them completed the photo album after working together for several hours.
When Xu Chuanchuan looked through the photo album, she sighed ruefully and said, "Let's take more pictures from now on."
Although Xu Chuanchuan didn't specify what she meant, Murong Shi understood what her lover was trying to say. So, she replied, "Okay."
This photo album held extraordinary value to them, so Xu Chuanchuan put it in the bedside drawer. That way, they could take it out and admire its content whenever they wanted.
After halting releases for her new novel for a month, Xu Chuanchuan started growing restless. She had been keeping tabs on the copycat every day, so she noticed that the copycat had suddenly halted releases yesterday. Why it happened, Xu Chuanchuan did not know.
When Xu Chuanchuan checked the comment sections, one comment immediately caught her attention: "Why did you stop updating, copycat? Did you run out of content to write because our Lord stopped updating? Also, what kind of dogshit are your latest few chapters? You have the gall to write novels with such horrible writing and content? Ptui!"
It seems that my plan worked. But should I start updating now? Xu Chuanchuan faced a mental struggle. She was afraid that the copycat would shamelessly continue plagiarising her work as soon as she resumed updating. Yet, if she didn't resume updates, she would feel sorry for her loyal readers.
While Xu Chuanchuan was struggling over which action she should take, she suddenly received an internal message from jjwxc's publishing editor, saying: "Hello, your work After Being Bent by Reader has met the conditions for physical publication. If you are willing to publish your book, please add my work QQ, and we can discuss the details."
The message was only a few sentences long. Xu Chuanchuan also understood every word written. However, she still read the message numerous times, confusion filling her mind. Finding this situation incredulous, she took a screenshot of the message and sent it to Ange for further verification.
Ange: "It's real. Normally, if the platform's publishing editor reaches out to you, there's a 99% chance your book will receive a physical publication. Congratulations, you've finally gotten your wish."
After receiving Ange's verification, Xu Chuanchuan was overjoyed and immediately shared this good news with Murong Shi.
Murong Shi was naturally happy for Xu Chuanchuan. Only, her excitement wasn't as intense as Xu Chuanchuan's.
Xu Chuanchuan danced and screamed in joy. Only when she was done venting her emotions did she remember to add that editor's QQ.
After the publishing editor accepted her friend request, the editor had her add another QQ ID, stating that it was the account of a different publishing editor working with a publisher in Taiwan.
The name of the publishing editor from Taiwan was Rosa. Xu Chuanchuan found the name to be familiar when she first saw it, but she didn't think too much about it at the time because of her excitement. Then, she began conversing with Rosa with an anxious heart.
When Rosa found out about Xu Chuanchuan's hiatus, she asked for the text file of the unpublished chapters, stating that the editorial department needed them for reviewing.
Xu Chuanchuan: "I'm sorry, Miss Editor, but I write and publish on the spot, so I don't have any stockpile"
Rosa: "You should at least have a general outline of the plot written, right? You can send that to me instead."
Unfortunately, an outline of the plot...did not exist.
After thinking for a moment, Xu Chuanchuan asked: "Do you need it immediately?"
Rosa: "No, but it'd be best if I can get it as soon as possible. After all, the publication process is very long and tedious. The longer you drag things out, the more disadvantageous it will be for you."
Xu Chuanchuan: "Can I send it to you tonight?"
Rosa: "No problem."
Xu Chuanchuan knew that Taiwan used Traditional Chinese, so she initially thought there would be difficulty communicating with the editor from Taiwan. However, she didn't think that things would progress so smoothly. Moreover, this editor was very kind to her, which made her feel at ease.
After ending her conversation with the editor, Xu Chuanchuan relayed the news to Murong Shi. When Murong Shi heard Xu Chuanchuan mentioning Rosa's name, her eyelids twitched a little.
As luck would have it, Xu Chuanchuan noticed Murong Shi's reaction. Then, she suddenly thought of something and asked, "Isn't the designer you secretly met last time also called Rosa?"
Quite some time had passed since that incident, so Murong Shi didn't think Xu Chuanchuan would still remember it. After hesitating for a moment, she responded, "Mhm."
Meanwhile, after hearing this response, Xu Chuanchuan couldn't help but find the coincidence a little strange.
At night, Xu Chuanchuan finished writing the general outline of her novel and decided to send it to Rosa. When sending the file, she accidentally clicked on Rosa's profile and, to her surprise, she found out that the other party's hometown was S City.
How many Rosas could there be in one city? Xu Chuanchuan couldn't help but grow curious. Then, she asked, "Miss Editor, are you from S City?"
Rosa: "That's right, I'm from S City. But I got married in Taiwan and got a job here."
Xu Chuanchuan: "What a coincidence! We're from the same city!"
Rosa: "I know that."
Xu Chuanchuan was stunned by this reply. After all, she didn't write her real information on her QQ profile. So, how did Rosa know that she lived in S City?
Maybe she checked out my Weibo? Xu Chuanchuan felt a little embarrassed when she thought of this possibility. Then, she asked, "Did you check out my Weibo?"
Rosa: "No. But now that you mention it, I seem to have forgotten to add you on Weibo. I'll send you a friend request in a moment."
She didn't? Xu Chuanchuan was confused. "How did you find out I'm from S City, then?"
Rosa: "Because I met your girlfriend two months ago."
Huh? How is this matter related to Murong?
Xu Chuanchuan's confusion grew even deeper, and she immediately started asking more about the matter. Eventually, she found out that this Rosa was the same Rosa that she mistook as Murong Shi's affair partner
By the time Murong Shi returned from the bathroom, Xu Chuanchuan had already turned off the computer and sat on the bed staring at her. After moving aside the hair that was blocking her vision, Murong Shi asked, "What are you looking at me like that for?"
In response, Xu Chuanchuan stood up, took a few steps forward, and wrapped her arms around Murong Shi's neck. Then, without saying anything, she stood on her toes and kissed Murong Shi.
Murong Shi was surprised by Xu Chuanchuan's sudden initiative. However, she quickly reacted to the situation, embraced her lover, and responded to the kiss.
The two continued their passionate kiss until they ended up on the bed. When Murong Shi was about to take off Xu Chuanchuan's pajamas, Xu Chuanchuan suddenly called to stop.
Murong Shi stared at her lover in confusion.
Meanwhile, with her arms still wrapped around Murong Shi's neck, Xu Chuanchuan smiled and said, "I love you."
"I love you too."
"I really, really love you."
"Me too."
"I already found out about Rosa's matter."
Murong Shi wasn't surprised by this revelation at all. After a slight pause, she said, "I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to lie to you."
Xu Chuanchuan's smile gradually faded while her eyes reddened. Then, she choked a little as she said, "Thank you."
Murong Shi panicked when she saw her lover's watery eyes. "Why are you crying all of a sudden?"
Xu Chuanchuan buried her head into Murong Shi's breasts. After rubbing her head against the soft bundles for a moment, she said in a muffled voice, "These are tears of joy."
Letting out a sigh of relief, Murong Shi patted the back of Xu Chuanchuan's head and said, "It's fine so long as you're happy."
After secretly wiping away her tears, Xu Chuanchuan looked up at Murong Shi and said, "Being with you is the most meaningful thing I have ever done in my life."
In response, Murong Shi gently kissed the corners of Xu Chuanchuan's watery eyes and tenderly said, "It's the same for me."
