Chapter 1630  Training In The Poison Miasma II

Grey's figure flashed through the darkness, he was moving at a frightening speed, but his pace drastically reduced within a second. He had gone very deep into the miasma, and it had started attacking him. Grey currently isn't able to stay there for too long, even the slightest contact with it is enough to kill some Peak Sovereigns, yet Grey was fully engulfed in it. His eyes turned black, as the cracks appeared in his body in a matter of seconds. His light element kicked in instantly, trying to heal him as fast as it could, but his body was deteriorating at a faster rate. Even if a Light Elementalist at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane was caught in this place, they wouldn't be able to keep up with the speed at which the miasma was corroding their body. The reason Grey was still alive was due to his terrifying physical body. He turned around and hastily retreated from the place. He could feel his flesh falling off his body, but he didn't have the time to think about that. His only priority was leaving this place. As his body bolted back in the direction that he felt was the way out, he sensed whatever attacked him. In anger, he unleashed a powerful inscription attack. The inscription was created entirely with the light element. Even though it was very difficult to sense any other elemental particles in this place, he still unleashed a forceful attack. For the first time since he entered the miasma, he was able to see his environment thanks to this attack. When he saw the creature that attacked him, he was livid. It was a bunny, a bunny that has evolved and adapted to the miasma. He not only saw the bunny, but he also saw a building. The thought of going there flashed through his head, but when he thought about the danger, and his body that was gradually breaking down, he didn't dare to dally around. Outside the miasma. Klaus and the others were still exploring the island when they sensed Grey's aura from the miasma, even though it was very faint, they still sensed it. "Grey's in trouble." Alice stood up and rushed in the direction of the miasma. Not just Alice, Klaus, Reynolds, Void, and the bunny leader rushed toward the miasma. They all sensed the flash of Grey's aura. Given their mission here, they knew Grey would never want to expose their location to others, unless he needed help from his friends since they're not together. The group arrived within a second after they sensed Grey's aura. Void and the bunny leader were naturally the fastest, and the sight before them made them pause for a few seconds. When Klaus and the others arrived, Klaus's eyes twitched as he pointed at Grey in utmost shock. "What the hell is that?!" Grey could barely stand properly, he looked at Klaus with his black eyes which had white veinlike lines on them, he was enraged, but the second he wanted to open his mouth to talk, he coughed up a mouthful of black blood. His entire body started to freeze up. The others were stunned when they saw it, but then Grey summed up the energy to speak. "You can't touch me, coming too close will get you killed." The second that statement left his mouth, Klaus and Reynolds were the first to retreat, while dragging Alice with them. Grey's eyes twitched once again, he hadn't even finished his sentence before Klaus and Reynolds retreated like he was a plague. "Help me seal the ice, I'll need some time to get myself together." Grey struggled to talk to Klaus. Klaus looked at Grey, who had seemingly lost all his charm. Even a person whose entire body was burnt looked better than what Grey looked like right now. Grey could care less about his appearance, his life was all that mattered to him right now. 'If only there's a way to get this image of him. Given his freakish healing abilities, he'll recover his looks in a few days at most. I'd like to see this and remember the days when he was not as handsome as I am.' Klaus thought to himself, pained at such a missed opportunity. If any of those present knew what was going through his head at the moment, they would definitely beat him up, especially Alice. None of those present sensed the aura of the duo, after their short conversation, they disappeared just as silently as they appeared, they didn't want to waste time speculating over something they didn't know anything about. In the cave, there was a lotus that seemed to be completely okay. Even when the rest of the flowers were showing signs of being corroded, this lotus stood proudly, close to Grey's ice cube. No one present noticed this. Klaus and Reynolds retreated as far as they could in the guise of patrolling the area to keep Grey safe, whereas Alice knew that they were avoiding any form of contact with Grey's current state. Alice gave Grey some distance as well, while also checking the surroundings. The bunny leader and Void disappeared from the location. As much as they would like to help out, this was a poison miasma that they were all powerless against. In the entire group, the only person who could deal with this issue is the one who has been affected by it, all they can do at the moment is wait.
