A Wanderer's Lies

Chapter 112: I'll kill you all!

Chapter 112: I'll kill you all!

-BANG

Isaac cracked his fist across Logan's face as the two of them tumbled to the ground, rolling over each other and soon coming to a stop.

Isaac lay atop him, pulling the collar to the still bewildered Logan as the former stared straight into the eyes of the latter.

"We're bonded by blood, we always have each other's backs! Brothers, damnit!"

Isaac yelled as Logan, his eyes widened, stared blankly.

He could see the desperation in Isaac's eyes. It wasn't like when he spoke to Aizen.

No, Isaac was smart enough to know Aizen was a completely different person to Oliver.

This look that Isaac had in his eyes carried no animosity.

However…

-SHRUU

-WHOOSH

Four tentacle-like appendages suddenly emerged from behind Logan, red in colour and seemingly letting out a slight glow as they shot toward Isaac like bullets.

But Isaac was quick to react, leaping backwards and dodging them all as he landed a few metres away.

Isaac ground his teeth as he watched Logan rise to his feet, his expression returning to its usual indifference as his eyes carried not a single glint.

"Listen to me, damnit…"

"I am a mere follower of Onyx. A follower of the cause. I have no brothers."

For once, Logan replied to Isaac, cutting him off as his voice carried the same chill that he expressed with his eyes.

Isaac clicked his teeth as he listened to this, changing his gaze to Aizen, he watched the carcass of Oliver, a grin plastered on his face.

"Fine," Isaac mumbled, shadowy appendages forming behind him.

"If you won't listen to me, Zach, I'll knock the sense into you. And you…"

Isaac glared at Aizen, his tails growing and hovering around him.

"...I'll drag Oliver out of you if I have to."

Aizen paused for a second, soon replying in a mused tone.

"What a pleasant proposal. I don't mind testing the limits to this vessel to pass the time."

'Pass the time? What's he waiting for?'

Isaac thought, taking note of Aizen's wording that almost felt like he was teasing the boy.

"But before we do, explain to me, what exactly is that figure over your head."

Isaac raised an eyebrow, taking a glance above him while keeping his guard up.

But there was nothing there. Other than the dark sky, large bright moon and tall trees, nothing stood out to Isaac.

And as if Aizen could read Isaac's thoughts, the smile on his face widened.

"So young, yet cursed by fate. How unfavourable for you."

-BUDUMP

As Aizen said this, it was as if a loud heartbeat entered all those close by. Simultaneously, Aizen's body became limp, dropping to the ground, lifeless.

No, in the next second, Isaac could tell exactly what had happened upon seeing an identical Aizen still standing over the fallen body.

'This is a Shinigami.'

Isaac noted, staring at Aizen, his hair slicked back as a single stand flowed over his face. The school uniform he was wearing before had disappeared, replaced with a black and white robe.

Additionally, on his waist rested a sword.

"Tsk"

Isaac clicked his teeth, seeing Oliver's body stray further and further from what he once was.

"This feels better."

As Aizen said this, simultaneously, a few cloaked individuals appeared from the forest behind him, coming to a halt beside their companions as Isaac furrowed his eyebrows.

'Three new Onyx members. I don't know their strength, but I recognise one of them.'

Isaac couldn't see their faces or any distinctive features, but upon activating his Ki, a familiar Ki signature came from the leading cloaked figure.

"Lord Aizen, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. My name is Marshall Mathers."

Said the leading figure, kneeling before Aizen, removing his hood as he revealed his bleached hair.

'He's the man I sensed with Xavier in the hotel.'

Despite Marshall's respect toward Aizen, the latter showed no interest, keeping his eyes on Isaac as he replied.

"What is the situation in the Coliseum?"

As Aizen asked this, Marshall held his breath as he replied after a pause.

"We're all that's left of the Onyx force sent to Ashton."

Marshall paused once more before continuing.

"She…betrayed us."

"Katlynn!"

"What are you doing, follower?!"

"What's she doing?"

"Who's side is she on?"

Despite all the ruckus and yells erupting from within the coliseum, Katlynn stood with a blank expression, staring at the sleek black ball in her hand.

It was an orb handed to her after she'd been given her command.

Only now was she able to use it.

Currently, a purple dome surrounds the Coliseum fighting ground. Outside the dome were Harrison, Chamberlain, Edward and a few others.

They all stared with different emotions painted on their faces. But Harrison seemed the most passionate as he banged on the dome wall.

"Katlynn, let us in! You did it! You saved everyone! You don't need to do this alone!"

Harrison pleaded. He wasn't stupid. He had little information on what was going on, but he'd known Katlynn for decades.

He was right to assume she wasn't capable of doing something like this.

And upon seeing shining spiky clusters over each Terror that had appeared in the Coliseum as well as Marshall and a few others Harrison didn't recognise, he'd made a fair assumption.

However, no matter how much he yelled, he was given no reply by the black and white-haired female.

Instead, she kept staring at the orb.

[Description: The first attack unleashed by Katlynn Wilson shall be increased tenfold]

Katlynn stared with a blank expression.

Using her most powerful technique would have a devastating effect. The dome was only supposed to last for about 2 minutes, a drawback to its immense durability.

An attack like this was incinerate everything within this dome…including her.

It was then that she remembered her command.

"Continue serving Onyx. However, in one month, will sacrifice yourself to kill every Onyx Member inside the coliseum."

That's all she needed. With Onyx still thinking they had her under their control, it was the perfect ploy.

She knew this would kill her. The dome was made specifically so that nothing survived.

Not even her.

"Flame Magic:..." Katlynn mumbled a

"Are you crazy?!" Marshall yelled, his eyeballs almost popping out from his skull.

"Katlynn, don't, please!"

"Miss Katlynn!"

"...Purgatory."

A single second.

In a single second, the ring on Katlynn's cracked, shattering.

In a single second, for the first time in a long time, Katlynn wasn't under the spell of another.

She smiled.

'It feels…so peaceful'

-BOOM

***

"The entire dome was lit up like a light bulb with blue flames that melted everything inside, even the ground."

Marshall recounted everything that had happened, his tone strained as if he were holding back his rage to keep his respectful demeanour.

"I was barely able to...survive while the two behind me were lucky enough not to be inside the coliseum."

As Isaac heard this, despite everything going on, he couldn't help but grin.

'It worked out better than I thought.'

Isaac thought inwardly.

With this plot, he was able to kill two birds with one stone.

Getting rid of Katlynn and dealing a heavy blow to Onyx.

Though Isaac knew Katlynn wasn't in her right mind during the events that occurred before he'd entered his scenario, it didn't change the fact that she knew he was the intruder, including his strength.

She was a liability.

Besides, Isaac thought he sent her off quite nicely. After all, she was able to go out while fighting those who killed her sister in the first place.

Yet, despite all this, Isaac's grin slowly faded as he witnessed Aizen show no reaction to this new bump in their plan.

"Lord, I'm not sure if you heard me. We're outnumbered, we can't…"

"I can tell."

Aizen looked to the side toward the forest, staring for a second.

"They've already started moving."

Isaac noted this.

'It's either Aurelius or the S.A. They're on their way.'

"Deal with that," Aizen commanded the figure whom Isaac recognised as the Bishop who stabbed him.

With a nod, the figure disappeared. Isaac narrowed his eyes. He wasn't even able to see the Bishop move.

Despite this, he felt a sense of relief knowing he no longer had to deal with him.

"Redeem yourself."

Marshall raised his head, noticing Aizen finally spared him a glance.

"Bring me his head."

Marshall paused, quickly switching his gaze to Isaac, looking back as he grins a few seconds later.

"Of course, my lord."

Raising to his feet, he and the two other cloaked individuals surrounded Isaac.

"At once, my lord."

A cloaked figure to the side removed their hood, revealing themselves to be a short-haired brunette with freckles and a stern and no-nonsense expression painted on her face.

But most notably, a green hue started to envelop her as her hair began to rise, her feet leaving the ground.

"Tell me, kid, can you "see" sound?"

The second figure on the other side of Isaac removed his cloak, revealing himself to have a red mullet and sharp teeth as he grinned.

And around his neck lay headphone

[Verse: Hamatora]

"You got no chance here. Do you know what I am…"

-WHOOSH

As Marshall spoke, he witnessed Isaac…disappear.

He paused, staring and looking around, unable to sense anything. It was as if the boy had literally vanished into nothingness.

However…

-CRUNCH

In the next second, a hand shoved itself into his throat, the fingers coiling themselves around his neck as he was lifted off the ground.

'When…'

Marshall and the two other Priests all shared this thought as they froze.

They couldn't see, hear, feel or sense in any way how and when Isaac had travelled that distance and grabbed Marshall.

'What…what just happened?'

Logan stared, his expression changing once again, bewildered as he darted his eyes between where Isaac once stood and where he was now.

He knew.

Aizen had told him Isaac wasn't what he let people believe.

But this? Being able to catch a Priest so off guard?

It wasn't until Isaac turned his head just enough so that his eyes met with Logans, staring as if he was making sure the latter was watching.

'His eyes…they're red.'

-CRACK

In the next second, Isaac squeezed. Simultaneously, Marshall dropped to the ground, his neck turned in an unnatural direction.

"I'll kill you all."
