A Story of Evil

Chapter 47: The Release

Chapter 47: The Release

"Mom, I'm home."

"Cain? Why are you back so early dear?"

"Well there was something that happened in the plantation so I got a day off." The boy dropped his things at the side of the house and looked around.

"Where's Eve?"

"Right here!" The girl suddenly appeared out of a hole in the ground.

"Are you a rat or something?"

"You're just jealous of my new secret base! I bet even Sol wouldn't find me here."

"Don't press your luck brat. It'd take more than that to fool him."

It was the same day that Arthur was released. At that very moment, the man was already loose on the streets and probably going for his family. However, the Bloodbournes did not know of this. Not of Sol's failure to accomplish his part of the deal nor the fate that awaited them. And as a shadow loomed on their doorstep, they were once again subjected to the cruel strings of fate.

Through the doors of Pentagon, a shadow rapidly darted through. No other sound could be heard so all he focused on were his own footsteps, his hurried breathing, his nervous pulse and, the thought of not reaching where he needed to be on time.

"You can do it! Stop thinking that you can't!" Sol shouted, trying to fight all the logic in his brain that already made the estimations. With where he was and the speed he was going at, Arthur would still beat him even if he simply walked.

"Run! Don't you dare slow down!" The sky was dark again for the Void Domain. The sun was nowhere to be seen yet, adding to this was the smell of rain as if the sky was just about to mourn.

Through the trees, down the alleyways, into the main street of the inner walls. Sol pumped his gears; tearing all the muscles on his legs and breathing until his lungs seemed to burst. He found all this pain to be irrelevant knowing that lives depended on how quick he could move.

Solomon's mind was a mess because of the succeeding events. The stab. The stare of the woman that went beyond human. The sinister laugh. The sudden squashing to the ground by King Jubilee's gravity magic. The call to the prison. The release of Arthur. Every part of it came in such rapid succession that Sol's body seemed to move automatically at that point.

Thirty minutes, that was the total amount of time he needed just to get out of the inner walls. The prison was at least an hour's walk before reaching the house of the Bloodbournes. There was also the chance of Arthur taking a quick stop at his favorite bar but, Sol didn't bet on that.

"MOVE!" He screamed at his own body.

He was finally within the slums. Back to the prying gazes of the people and, to the stench of decay that filled the rotten hellhole. He bolted through all the shortcuts he could get his hands on and, soon enough, Solomon reached his goal.

"Oh you're here. I've been waiting for you."

"You " Arthur didn't waste any time and kicked Solomon in the stomach; sending the rolling at the dirt outside the house.

The rain began to pour like a sudden shower. Arthur slowly walked out of the house, holding the head of Eve on his hand. Behind him were the corpses of all the members of the household, with the pool of blood finally crawling out of the doorsteps.

"BASTARD!" Sol ran toward Arthur, yet against the sober soldier, his emotion driven state was nothing to be scared of.

Sol began by making a horizontal swing. Arthur dodged it easily by sidestepping to the left with his sword turned to the blade's blunt side and hitting the back of the boy's head. Arthur followed by hitting Sol's falling head with his knee then bashing it using the head of Eve which he was still holding on to.

"Man, who knew my daughter could be so useful right? I sure didn't."

"ARTHUUUR!" Arthur stomped on Sol's body as he was about to rise; making the boy fall to the ground again. It was painful, heavy, and, Arthur had no intention of stopping there. He made five more stomps before finally stabbing Sol's left shoulder blade with his sword. Burying it up to the hilt and locking Sol right where he was.

"You probably thought you'd reach on time didn't you? So let me give you a quick rundown on what happened here and how late you actually were. Oh, you can look at Eve's head while you're at it." The face of the girl was frozen in fear and horror and, Sol couldn't even move his eyes away from it because Arthur was holding up his hair.

"See the first one I took care of was Cain. He's my son after all so I knew he'd be plenty strong. I hit his face with an empty bottle of alcohol then stabbed the broken half to his head. He screamed like the little pussy that he was so I took the liberty of kicking him to the other bitches." Sol was angry, frustrated, in pain, tired, his mental state was in a hot mess at that moment.

"Then I missed my wife so I thought I'd give her a bit of excitement. I stabbed my sword right through her hole and man did she scream a lot! HAHAHAHA! You should've seen how Eve cried and peed herself in fear. Ah god that was so hilarious." Sol was starting to blank out. He couldn't breathe properly and the world was turning hazy once again.

"Then there was Eve right? But there's really not much to what happened to her. I just chocked the little bitch then used the kitchen knife on her neck. I always wondered how many stabs it would take me to decapitate a head. Turns out the bones on the spine need to be snapped too."

There was a single thought in Sol's head at that moment. He wanted to kill Arthur in the most merciless way possible. Yet his body didn't respond to him. It was sore and his breathing was becoming more and more labored. And this was all that he could remember as the world around him finally blacked out.

"So that ends my little story hey are you still alive?" Arthur moved Sol's body but there was no response. He tried punching a few times just for good measure but there was still no reaction.

"Shit is he dead? Well, better chop him to pieces then." Arthur won. In his head the fight was already over and he'd just get a good glass of beer to celebrate. But as he took off the sword, Sol turned his body and placed his fingers inside Arthur's eyes.

"AHHHHHH!" Sol gouged both eyeballs out in a matter of seconds and, it was Arthur's turn to scream in pain the muscles on his face tightening right away.

The boy didn't stop and took the hand that searched him in the darkness, twisting it around and breaking it immediately using his only arm that was functioning.

"YOU FUCKING ORPHAN! GET OFF ME!"

Sol did as he was told; stepping away and giving a few good kicks to the face of the beast. Ten solid strikes which sent a bunch of Arthur's teeth flying. The man turned but that was all that he could do as Sol proceeded to stabbing through Arthur's shoulder blade. He then took his own sword that was lying nearby and proceed to do the same on the other one shoulder. Arthur tried trashing his body out of it but, he immediately grew exhausted as all his muscles just seemed to freeze in place.

However, the punishment was far from over. Sol proceeded to stomping on Arthur's face until he was barely conscious. Sol went inside the house and picked up the corpses of the dead Bloodbournes. He made them sit in the rain as if making them watch what Sol was about to do.

The boy proceeded to stepping on Arthur's balls over and over again. This created the most painful screams made by the grown man as he finally began begging for help.

A guard came but as soon as he saw the grotesque sight, he simply decided to turn away. Sol then tore Arthur's balls off and made him swallow them. The man was coughing and looking as if he'd puke them but Sol didn't allow it.

He sat on top of the man, punching him over and over again. Breaking the bones in his hand and making it bleed in the process. There was no sound more nerve wrecking and gut twisting as the one made by Sol at that moment. Until the point that, the face of the man who was Arthur Bloodbourne could not be recognized anymore.

Even when he was already dead, Sol continued punching Arthur. Within the heavy rain, the boy refused to stop. That is, until somebody hugged him from behind, finally turning off the seemingly automatic mode of Solomon unlocking the passive [Cold Blooded] at the price of the Bloodbournes death.
