A random pokemon journey

They also didn't really taste all that good either as they were rather bland and flavorless. After dinner we turned in for the night as per usual. Or at least that was the plan until the system decided to do it's random thing and send me a notification. 'Ugh! Why now of all times?' I thought with a sigh and opened my eyes again. Bringing up the system menu I took a look at what it had sent me and was surprised to see a quest. Reading the description I was very tempted to just ignore this quest entirely.-

[Quest conditions established!

Rewards: 1x random item ticket , 1x skill ticket(optional) ]

I really didn't want to deal with a legendary pokemon that had apparently decided to drop by when I was minding my own business but the heat wave that rushed through the cave told me that wasn't going to happen. With a sigh I stood up from my bed of feathers while Gaia worriedly stared out the entrance to the cave as the heat grew more potent as the Entei got ever closer. I patted her on the back as I walked over to her "Relax , it's probably not hostile." I said reassuringly.-

'What a joke , we weren't anything more than a curiosity to this thing if the quest is to be believed. Hostile? Are we even worthy of it getting hostile when it could kill both of us effortlessly?' I thought to myself as the heat reached it's peak and it's source walked out of the woods. This Entei was the size of a horse and had semi-long earthen brown fur all over it's body except its chest , head , back and paws. The chest had cream colored fur that ended with a grey stone looking plate. Its back had a long flowing greyish smoke like mane that was always billowing as well as two grey stone like spikes on either side of it.-

It's paws were slightly lighter soft looking canine padded white furred things that had a single black metallic looking band halfway up it's legs. It's face however looked almost like an cartoon explosion in that it's bottom jaw was the same color as it's chest but it's upper face had red stone like spiked growths on it's cheeks a spike tipped stone grey handlebar mustache and a trident like crest of yellow hair on it's forehead.-

The Entei's red eyes were looking right at both me and Gaia curiously from where it was standing a good thirty feet away at the edge of the forest. 'Appraise' I thought and the information I got back made me freeze in fear. It was the first time that I had been unable to get a full read off of something with the ability. What I did get though was more than enough to let me know not to piss the big dog off if I valued mine or Gaia's lives at all.

[Pokemon species: Entei

'Two hundred and sixty fucking eight! We are so fucked if this thing feels like killing us!' I thought while mentally screaming in panic. Externally however I was stone faced like I was ready to fight if necessary , I definitely wasn't though. Gaia on the other hand was much more honest with her reaction as she shrunk down to look as small as possible and was shaking a bit with a clear look of terror on her face.-

"I'm not sure why you are here exactly but can you turn down the whole heat wave thing you have going on?" I asked since I honestly have no fucking idea how to approach the situation. The Entei had an amused look in it's eyes but the heat wave did vanish so it must have understood what I said. "Thank you , uh I don't have a lot of room but come in I guess?" I said helplessly struggling to not do anything impolite. The giant canine pokemon nodded and walked over to the cave before it gently nudged me aside with an amused look after I froze when it got near.-

The Entei then walked over to the fire and directly laid down on it in what I can only describe as the most fire type thing ever. I patted Gaia reassuringly before walking into the cave that was suddenly much tighter then normal and took a seat next to the cave wall at the left of the Entei. Gaia reluctantly sat down on the right of the legendary. "Want a berry?" I offered awkwardly to break up the silence. The Entei nodded and I retrieved my bag from nearby and started taking out all the berry types I had.-

The legendary carefully reached out with one of it's huge paws and pinched the stem of two of the nanab berries. It them brought them in front of it and craned it's neck down to grab them with it's teeth before flicking them into it's mouth. It chewed for a moment with a pleased expression before swallowing the berries. I would offer roasted meat but we weren't expecting guests." I said honestly. The Entei nodded with an understanding look before something surprising happened.-

A red glow came from it's eyes and a voice spoke in my head 'Why are you here little human?' a deep male voice asked calmly. My jaw dropped and my eyes went wide when this happened as I knew exactly what was happening. "You can use aura!?" I yelled in surprise. A deep rumbling sound came from the legendary as if laughing at my reaction. 'All of those you humans call legendries can do this but only with those capable of doing the same in time.' Entei's deep voice said in my mind again.-

"So legendries can communicate directly with aura users , that's good to know. But if it's not to much trouble can I ask why you are here exactly?" I asked curiously. 'A new member of my kind was born nearby and I was on my way to greet it before it could cause trouble. We tend to be rather lost at first and need guidance from an older member or skilled human to reach our full potential. Much like your kinds own offspring in fact.' the Entei spoke honestly.-

"A new Entei? That's got to be like super rare right?" I asked curiously without even noticing how relaxed I had gotten. 'Once every three centuries or so usually. But you still haven't explained why you are here little human.' the Entei said and I scratched the back of my head awkwardly. It's not really all that impressive compared to your reason. I simply woke up here and rather than trying to leave I decided to grow a bit stronger before finding the nearest human settlement instead." I said honestly. 'Hmmm , interesting. Your kind are usually far less daring.' the Entei said with a mischievous twinkle in it's eyes that I wasn't aware of.
