Sacrifices
Sacrifices
The Heatran launched consecutive lava plumes at us as we dodged and started pelting it with as many attacks as we could to distract it. Rune hit it with a flashing rain that worsened it's paralysis while making it lopsided in movement as only some of it's body was further paralyzed. Vulcan meanwhile ran circles around the Heatran hitting it with as many leers as it could which lowered the legendry's defense little by little softening it up for what was to come. I myself took a wide stance with my spear held in my right hand as I burned through my entire energy pool to strengthen my arm , back , shoulder and leg muscles over their limits.-
I then threw the spear with every ounce of might I had , right into the Heatrans eye. Even at the cost of shredding my muscles harshly from exceeding my limits the spear only barely managed to pierce the hard metal orb that was the eye of the creature and stopped at the back of it's eye socket. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" it screamed in rage and agony at the injury as it was not even paying attention to me as a weak human in it's mind , a thing it now regretted very much.-
It retaliated too as magma , stone and metal were flung in every direction and half my sight vanished as pain clouded my mind from all over my body as I was flung into the wall hard. It was at this moment that Gaia acted and the air was displaced as the huge orb of highly pressurized sand and energy tore through the air. The Heatrans mind seemed to return to clarity as it's instincts probably warned it of the danger heading it's way but between the paralysis and innate slow movement it could barely turn to see what the threat was before it hit.-
I watched as the remaining eye of the Heatran widened in fear before everything went black as the orb detonated with an earth shattering "KABOOM!". Pain , that was all I felt when I finally regained consciousness an unknown time latter. I honestly couldn't say that a single part of my body wasn't aching or throbbing with pain at that moment. 'Considering I'm not dead I'll take this as meaning we won.' I thought with a sigh of relief that hurt to make.-
Opening my eyes I frowned as I could only see out of one of them 'that's not good.' I thought as I moved to sit up and groaned from the red hot surge of agony that washed through me when I did. I pushed through it and eventually sat up and could finally look myself over , it wasn't pretty as I had harsh burns on my skin and bits of stone and metal sticking out of various parts of me. Nothing further than my muscles thankfully as I checked with my x-ray ability. At the edge of the lake of fire was a huge mangled corpse with half it's head and side entirely missing.-
'Well that explains why it made me nervous to look at , it was powerful enough to one shot the thing.' I then started looking around for my team and found them scattered about but mostly intact. Rune was looking in rough shape but would live much the same as Vulcan where they both lay knocked up. Yani was almost entirely unscathed but had clearly exhausted herself as she was also out nearby myself. Gaia was still in the wall but was knocked out from exhaustion and damage. -
With a groan I started to use my healing ability to repair the muscles in my legs so that I could stand up again. My arm and torso could wait but movement were a priority for me at the moment. The energy I had regained while I was knocked out was wiped out immediately but I had restored my legs to usable if extremely painful. I reckoned that after a few more treatments I should be able to walk again. With that in mind I leaned against the wall and closed my eyes to meditate in hopes of restoring my energy faster.-
I'm not sure why but it also felt easier than ever to accumulate energy with meditation as I even exceeded my previous amount without any real slowing down. After getting about a quarter more than usual of aura I finally felt it slow to a crawl again. Opening my eyes I started healing my legs again startling Yani who was fussing over my wounds. I chose to ignore that she was holding her paws over me with a green glow that sent a soothing healing itch through my body. "Tree Ko?" she asked worriedly. "I'll live." I said resigned.-
She teared up but nodded as she continued working to heal me and I focused on restoring my legs to working order. "In my satchel I have some health potions , grab them and take them to the others." I ordered once I felt my legs were good enough to stand on. She looked like she wanted to argue but didn't as she went into my satchel and retrieved the potions. Her original question was about my eye and I was pretty sure it was gone or at least so damaged that it wasn't working. I hadn't intended to sacrifice parts of myself for victory but things rarely work out the way we hope.-
Using the wall behind me and my still somewhat useable left arm I shakily stood up with gritted teeth from the waves of pain that sent through my body. "Hah~" I let out a long breath and began to dig through my bag for the sitrus berries I had along with the potions for healing I kept aside for my own use in case of emergencies. I ate a couple of berries and sprayed my body with a potion that immediately numbed me as it went to work.-
Carefully I then started to pluck out them debris and shrapnel in my wounds before spraying them with disinfectant followed by healing potion. It was bloody and painful work but it needed to be done. I waited for the potion I sprayed to run it's course before reapplying a new coat and waiting again. Thanks to the magical properties of alchemy in this world my wounds closed and started to scar over after repeated treatments and my skin also began to flake away as the dead and damaged stuff was rejected. My muscles however required further treatment and time to repair themselves but I got the process started with a burst of my healing ability every time I got enough energy to use it.-
Yani also came and went a few times after running out of potion and needing more. I wasn't about the skimp out now that the stuff was needed plus I had a legendary corpse that was worth a massive fortune even as damaged as it was. The bodies of strong pokemon were valuable things for a variety of reasons and legendries were no exception to this rule. I myself will be taking a few parts for my own personal use as because of Gaia's attack my spear had been mostly destroyed. The only part that survived was the head of it that had gotten imbedded in the Heatrans skull from the force of the blast.
