A random pokemon journey

"Most royals tend to have a similar issue. That extra size means their power was nearly unmatched but it also means they are heavily restricted in where they can go. Even your Tyranitar here would cause a lot of unintended devastation if she were to just stroll through a town or city." Byron said with a little bit of pity. "No need to feel bad for us, we have long since accepted this. When Gaia was but a Larvitar she was already just about as tall as I was at the time so we knew and accepted that when she fully evolved she'd more likely than not spend most of her time in her ball."-

"Times like this where she is out and can relax are only possible here in the wilds." I said with a shrug. "That reminds me but where are the rest of your pokemon?" he asked curiously. I shrugged "Somewhere nearby no doubt but specifically I have no clue beyond the few you see here and Hades in my pocket of course." I said honestly. "Should I be worried that such powerful pokemon were set free to do as they wish?" he asked with a concerned look.

I chuckled "Not at all, all my pokemon minus that one know what they can and cannot do when I let them roam like this. Unless a wild pokemon decided to drag them into a problem or a criminal shows up nothing really of note will happen." I said pointing at the not so little one that was trying to be sneaky and steal something out of Byron's pocket. "Hmm oh! Hahaha you must have smelt the treats I carry on me. By all means help yourself." the man laughed and handed over the pokemon grade treats he had in his pocket.-

"Watsons idea?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and Byron just smiled and nodded. "Even a world away that old fellow still finds a way to spoil my pokemon. You know I once tried to recreate those snacks myself and even though my other pokemon swore that the taste was the same that little one refused to eat them? I gave up at that point." I said with a smile. "It's different when it comes from someone else, more special. Still can't believe this one even exists after reading it's file. " Byron said calmly as he fed the floating Feebas variant.-

"I have had him practicing his moves since he matured but otherwise he's not had any training so far. No wild pokemon in Orre for that you see. This area is also less than optimal for his training since most pokemon here are too powerful to match his inexperience." I said honestly. "Ah an equalist then, should have expected as much from someone with such an eclectic team." he said with an understanding look. Equalists in case it wasn't obvious was just a term to describe people like me who trained their pokemon to fight against both trained pokemon and wild pokemon equally hence the name.-

"I hope you don't mind but I told some of my friends about you after you left previously." he said changing the subject. "In what regard?" I asked curiously. "Well a few of them were interested to know what you were like in person and maybe how strong you were. It's quite rare that someone joins our little circle of elite trainers and even more rare for someone to do it before elite level without being a gym leaders inheritor, naturally those of us who only heard second hand stories are curious about you." he said honestly.-

"I'm well aware of my own anomalous existence. It's rather hard not to be after seeing the sheer impact that my actions left behind in my wake while I was in Hoenn and in time Orre as well. Can't say I blame folks for being curious when I know this." I said with a shrug. I meant it too as I more than most watched the ripples my actions made in the world. In all but Kanto and Johto crime was at an all time low as trainers took to standing up and dealing with any criminals they found themselves forcing the rest to be more careful and less active.-

Even more double battles while not very popular before were thriving to the degree that the league as a whole was starting to ponder the idea of a second gym circuit based entirely around that. For reference in the entire league across all the regions it controlled double battles were one in a thousand before now and thus not really worth mentioning. Now though that ratio had become three hundred out of a thousand and rising.-

The origin of this sudden craze was of course my tournament that showed the world the potential that double battles held much better than the challenges Tate and Liza had in the same format. Before that tournament people sort of dismissed the double battles the twins held because they were gym leaders and twins of the psychic type but after my tournament everyone saw how double battles could be if done correctly. After spending a bit over half a year in Orre I came to understand double battles even better and acknowledged that they could match up to normal battles in excitement and even surpass it.-

I suppose I should also mention a "negative" change that I brought to the world as well. To put it bluntly less clothes became more fashionable if you had a fit body. People had mimicked my minimalist style of clothing myself in different ways. In my case it was mostly because with my body and constant treks through the wilds or waters wearing only shorts was ideal. The people copying me however were mostly either hoping it actually helped them as trainers or bodybuilders that enjoyed showing off their gains to begin with.-

There was also of course people who were just fans of mine and thus copied my style as a result. If I'm being honest though it's weird as hell seeing people copying me like this especially women. For them they started wearing short shorts and bikini tops as their version of my outfit and it was DEFINITELY distracting. Men were simple creatures so seeing so much flesh on an attractive woman had many staring. It wasn't even a matter of perversion so much as most men simply couldn't help it. Lust was biologically programmed into us for the purpose of reproduction so when we say it was a biological function only most of us actually meant it.
