A random pokemon journey

Epiphany

Epiphany

I felt nothing as I looked at the corpse and turned to leave the house immediately when I paused for a moment before retrieving the mans pokemon from his belt. He had two Muk , a Swalot , a Raticate , a Qwilfish and a Kirlia. I checked with observe to see which if any of the pokemon were truly loyal to the man and only the two Muk fit that description while the other minus the Kirlia were forced to obey the man out of fear of the Muk. The Kirlias situation however was the worst as the boar didn't use it for battle but as a pleasure tool.-

My grip on my spear tightened so much that a faint creaking sound could be heard as the wood dealt with the pressure I was exerting. Even emotion suppression was barely holding as I was flooded with more anger than I have ever felt before in my life. It was only Tank freaking out on my shoulder that made me realize that I was subconsciously flaring up my aura and with such anger the energy was starting the hurt him as it wildly lashed out. "I am sorry about that , I lost myself there for a moment." I told him feeling bad about harming him like that as I swallowed my anger down.-

Thankfully from what the crooks said only this beast was so bad while the rest were merely without remorse for their actions and acted to earn and protect profit alone. I will of course be personally checking this but it should at least mean that I won't lose control of myself in the process. I left the boars sty and made my way to my next targets. I spent the rest of the day hunting down and ending each member of the group one by one cutting it down to fifteen members before calling it a day. I also turned over the pokemon that could be rehabilitated to the Joy clan secretly while killing the ones that were evil-

The four others I killed were merely distributers and thus of little importance and probably wouldn't even be noticed missing for a few days. This was how I spent the next three days in Slateport city as people started to discover my victims around two days after the first five were killed. The remaining enforcers after the boar were all dead along with the boss of the group so the distributers weren't aware that anything was off until the bodies started to get found.-

They called a meeting to see who all was still alive in a terrified manner not even realizing that this merely made my job so much easier. I thought it was rather funny how the Jenny clan had been keeping their hands off the case after finding out that I was only killing those in the trafficking group. The clan might be the law abiding sort but apparently they were also aware of when they should turn a blind eye for the greater good. I don't doubt that they have been aware of this group for quite some time but because of how slippery it was and the lack of evidence against it they couldn't do anything about them even though they wanted to.-

I checked the newspaper each day and the kills were excluded which told me they were covering my work up to make it easier which I was quite grateful for. I was following the distributer on his way to the meeting at the moment when a middle aged man with spikey short brown hair and dark eyes stepped out of an alley behind the man who didn't notice. The man was wearing a tan long coat with a high collar and stared me down calmly.-

I recognized the man quite easily as he he was a character in the Sinnoh region games belonging to the international police , Agent Looker. "Why are you stopping me?" I asked calmly. It was not difficult at all to figure out that the only reason a member of the international police was confronting me was if they had figured out that I was the person behind the deaths of the majority of the trafficking group. "You have done enough , we will take it from here. You have my word that they won't be getting away this time." Looker said before casually walking after the distributer.-

If a prompt from the system telling me that I completed the quest hadn't popped up I probably would have disagreed with him. 'I guess it's finally over then , it's time to go train my team now for the upcoming challenge.' I thought as I made my way to a store to get two weeks supplies. To the north of Slateport was a tier five danger zone with with a vast variety of pokemon that fought for supremacy and survival known as the ashen forest.-

It was just below one of the regions volcanoes and had fire types , grass types and electric types primarily as the constant heat rising from the volcano and the cool air from the sea clashed in a frequent stormy manner above the forest. The place was perfect in my opinion to train my team as the pokemon there were at the proper level for a challenge while the unique flora of the area gave me a chance to experiment with my alchemy and pill making. Once I got all the supplies I needed I left Slateport behind and took to the road heading northward.-

I released my emotional suppression after I got far enough from the city and stood there in silence as the vast amount of animosity , rage , pity and sadness flow out from me. I had an epiphany as this happened and I finally understood why my aura was not progressing so good at the moment. Aura is the the song of life itself and a life without anger , joy , sadness and all the other emotions was incomplete and lead nowhere. I made so little progress when I trained my aura because I had no path to follow and was pressing so hard in a direction that didn't exist.-

Aura grows as one becomes more in tune with life and I was far from it , I simply hadn't realized how much further from it I was. It was liberating in a way as I knew with this revelation that a small part of myself buried under all my baggage was starting to fight it's way out , the part that felt everything. I knew I still had a long road ahead of me but finally I cared enough to want to walk it which was the first step.-

I released my pokemon and with head held high I journeyed into the wilderness hopeful of the future. I hadn't forgotten about my reward for completing the chain quest though and with a smile I opened my bag and grabbed the reward that I was most in need of at the moment , exp tickets. I needed to bring Rune up to Gaia and Vulcans level as fast as possible for my up coming challenge and each ticket was worth a week of all round training. At this point that was still a lot of training and would let him jump up the levels rapidly but as my pokemon grew stronger I noticed that this leveling speed slowing down dramatically.
