292 Ch. 292 Jamie Arc (part 6) Live Independently

Deke Shu did keep his promise to let Jamie go, but he would not force the girl if Jamie wanted to stay in this house. Jamie’s mother persuaded Deke to order his men to expel Jamie by force, which she would have to pay in return again.

The man had sent his men to expel Jamie by force, but he did not hide this order from his son. He knew Lawrence had been eyeing young Jamie for a long time but held back because Deke was so true to what he said.

As long as Jamie was in this house, no one, not even his children, would touch that girl. Even though he loves his son dearly and will let him do whatever he wants, Deke still warns him not to touch Jamie openly.

That’s why he often sent Lawrence out of town or abroad so that his son could vent his lust on the women he meets out there.

Deke Shu could have broken his promise and not have to fear resistance from Jamie’s mother, but he preferred that she serve him unopposedly. He didn’t want her to think he broke his promise and would rebel whenever he wanted to fuck her.

But now, Jamie’s mother wants to kick her daughter out of this house. Of course, he could grant the woman’s request without asking for anything in return. But who is he if he doesn’t take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the woman’s alluring figure... it was so tempting, even in her early forties?

As a result, two people broke into Jamie’s room by force the following day, taking Jamie out of the house and her belongings. Jamie kept trying to rebel because she didn’t want to leave her mother, but because she was disabled and couldn’t speak, no word was spoken.

All the maids in the house heard the commotion in the maid’s quarters and came out to see what was going on.

No one helped Jamie and could only give a look of sympathy as Master Shu decided to remove Jamie from his wing of cover.

.....

Jamie stood up and decided to walk to the station with a limp. She knew her mother had made Deke Shu expel her, although she did not know how the master was willing to follow her mother’s request.

What could Jamie do if her mother wanted her to leave this house alone? She could only accept this harsh reality and start struggling alone.

Luckily before this, she had already arranged what to do once she left the residence. She had estimated how much her daily living would cost if she no longer worked at the household, and Loraine had even looked at a cheap and affordable condo.

Jamie could buy a house wherever she wanted if she had the money from her mother’s savings. But she didn’t want to buy a fancy place―she wanted to rent a condo house and save money.

The problem was… how does she communicate with the estate agency?

Jamie had imagined leaving the residence with Loraine or her mother all this time. But Loraine has gone and will soon marry Zhou Yu Hue. While her mother... cruelly kicked her out even though she knew she was disabled and couldn’t speak.

Even though Jamie earned a lot of money―she could even fulfill her daily needs without having to work, the presence of her mother was far more meaningful than this amount of money.

In the end, Jamie decided to visit the antique shop owner and ask for help. Only the owner of this antique shop didn’t look down on her and treated her like the other guests.

Even when Loraine wasn’t by her side, the older man who had opened this shop for almost fifty years still treated her kindly.

“Why did your master suddenly kick you out?”

Jamie could only shake her head as the antique shop owner asked in surprise.

“Okay. Give me ten minutes to close up shop. I’ll take you to the residency agent.”

Jamie’s eyes shone with gratitude, and she helped the older man to close the shop. After that, the older man took Jamie to one of the home agencies and became an intermediary for the dealer with the mute Jamie. The dealer pointed out a few condos adjacent to the antique shop at Jamie’s request, and the girl chose one that looked clean and new.

The condo she saw had been occupied before, and a few appliances, such as a stove and hot water, had been broken, and Jamie had to fix them herself.

If Jamie had to go out to find a handyperson to fix up her place, she would be in a lot of trouble, considering she was a mute girl who couldn’t communicate normally. That’s why Jamie chose a new and undamaged place, so she didn’t have to call people to fix it.

After thanking the shop owner and the dealer, Jamie took the time to write back to Loraine. Now that she had moved house, Jamie felt she didn’t need to bother the old shop owner as the post office intermediary for their communications.

In addition, Jamie decided to buy a phone, so she could communicate with Loraine without waiting for a reply for days.

Long story short, Loraine and Jamie became more frequent on video calls, and both felt very happy because they could return to how they used to be, where they always talked about many things daily.

Loraine often asked why Jamie decided to leave her mother and go out alone, but Jamie did not tell the real reason and only answered that she wanted to be independent.

Loraine offered to move to Hong Kong and live with her, but Jamie politely refused. She had troubled Loraine while they resided at Deke Shu’s house. Jamie should have done all the maid work, like preparing Loraine’s textbooks or the girl’s school uniform. But Loraine preferred to do it alone. Instead, the girl helped her prepare her textbooks because Jamie often forgot what books to bring.

Jamie didn’t want to burden Loraine and her new family. Plus, she didn’t wish Deke Shu’s men to follow her to Hong Kong to make Loraine’s whereabouts known to Deke Shu or the leader Yu of the Luen group.

“Jamie, I’ve made up my mind. I won’t tell Yu Hue who my identity is.”

Jamie smiled at that and answered using her sign language. ‘Whatever your decision is, I will always wish you the best.’
