Chapter 64.1 - Taboo Child of Dragon
Chapter 64.1 - Taboo Child of Dragon
64.1 Taboo Child of Dragon
Orphen who had left the room of Jilbagias was walking with light gait along a corridor of the demon king castle.
Though this body is really frustrating, I've become rather accustomed to it.
The smile on his face was painted with a bit of sarcasm.
As soon as he transformed into a human, he always felt dissatisfied with his slow movement speed and short walking pace, resulting in him always half-trotting.
But, after hearing some people whispering something along the line of That guy is always restless despite his fu*cking huge body or, As expected of lizards, they sure can move fast., he learned how to adjust his pace.
His pace in his human form which was akin to running was too slow compared to flying with his wings. Alas, it was much better than having the dragon race's pride being looked down
After walking at a leisure pace-according to an outsider's perspective- for a while, Orphen had finally arrived at the flying dragon landing site which was located on top of the demon king castle.
Here.
He then took off his black robe and handed it over to the night elf maid by his side. Naturally, he wore nothing under his robe.
I'm going to fly around and enjoy the night. Come one hour later.
Orphen's tall figure warped as soon as he spoke.
The size of his body and magical power then swelled up in size. He then transformed into a huge dragon with jet-black scales.
Have a good day.
Orphen spread his wings, creating a gust of wind that made the hair of the maid who bowed at him flutter in the air, and then took off onto the starry night sky.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
His roar resounded in the night sky. He felt liberated when he returned to his real figure.
Every member of the dragon race loved to fly in the sky.
The world, the logic of the world shall prostate before me! The body of those monkeys is just too small and constrained
Despite feeling a sense of liberation upon returning to his original form, the moment Orphen looked down at the castle of marble that was illuminated by the moonlight from above His passion instantly cooled down.
He kneeled down to the demon king, let the latter excavate his birthplace, and then slowly turned the mountain into the demon king castle after constant remodeling over a few hundred years.
The dragon race had been enjoying their glowious era since the creation of the world and had been experiencing true hardship for the last few hundred years.
What a sad situation, to think that we have to humble ourselves before the wingless insect!
Orphen unleashed a darkness breath as if to spit his frustration.
Why did the dragon race have to serve upon the demon king in their own birthplace?
What choice did we have when they took the incubation place beneath the demon king castle hostage.
In spite of its name, not all dragon races could incubate in the place beneath the demon king castle. The dragon race who could use the incubation place was limited.
The incubation place which was located in the underground cave was located right on top of an earth vein, which made the place overflow with magical power, the dragon which was hatched from the egg that was exposed to that magical power will become wiser, and stronger.
For that reason, the empty spot had always become a popular spot. Though there was some agreement in order to prevent the scramble for the empty spot to damage the other egg, the parent dragon was desperate for their egg since there was great difference between the dragon that hatched in the mountain and those who don't.
Naturally, powerful dragons could easily secure an empty spot for their kids, making the kid of that powerful dragon easily far more excellent than others. The existence of this incubation place was also giving birth to the elite clan in the course of the long history of the dragon race.
They were akin to a noble family in the human race. And the incubation place in the mountain was the source of power and blood of those noble clans, and their pride.
And then That very mountain was now being occupied by the wingless insect called demon king.
At that time, the dragon races had never expected that they would lose against the demon race. They thought that the like of the demon king would die with their proud dragon breath and yet
The number of dragon races instantly reduced to only half of them.
Orphen, who was still young at that time, hadn't seen the scene. But, he heard directly from the dragon who survived the massacre about the horror of the 1st Demon King, Raohgias.
The demon king's spear easily tore the dragon's scale apart as if it was made from lambskin, he easily invalidated all kinds of hexing, and his resistance was so strong that not even dragon breath could scratch him.
And when the helpless dragons took flight to the sky, the demon king entered the incubation place of all places and started to break the dragon's egg.
Such violence!
Such a wicked deed!
Even the dark dragon who is famous for their cruelty wouldn't go as far as breaking the dragon's egg.
Reason being that it was the greatest taboo of the dragon race.
And yet, the 1st demon king, Raohgias didn't care about that and just proceeded to crush the egg.
The flustered parent then returned to stop the demon king. And then, the mountain turned into a slaughterhouse for the dragon
The slaughter continued on until the dragon patriarch at that time offered his head for the demon king to stop the massacre.
Ever since then, the dragon race was forced to obey the demon king who took control of the incubation place.
Some dragons choose to abandon the mountain and look for the new sky. In fact, an entire clan decided to do that but The children born on the field were obviously weaker, and stupid.
When it came to the powerful dragon clan, they naturally couldn't abandon the mountain. They wouldn't be able to let go off the mountain even if there was an annoying undead occupying the incubation place, eating the magical power inside as they pleased. Or even if they're forced to act like a horse because their egg was held hostage.
Abandoning the incubation place was akin to throwing away their power, prioritizing their pride was akin to putting the cart before the horse.
YOU DAMNED DEMON RACE!!
Orphen's enraged roar resounded in the night sky.
It was a roar filled with magical power and couldn't be understood by anyone but the dragon race.
PATRIARCH!
And then, another dragon roared from below.
When he turned around, Orphen saw a few subordinates of his proteges flying toward him.
Thank you for your effort in negotiating with the demon king's child.
Uhm.
He then flew in line with his subordinates.
The sky was their freedom. It was a place where he could be free from the privy eyes of the night elf's employee. With a special way of communication using dragon roars, they weren't afraid of being discovered even if someone eavesdropped on them.
How's that 7th demon king's child?
Humph. His magical power is remarkable for someone of his age. But, that power turned him into an arrogant and disgusting brat.
Orphen spat out his impression on Jilbagias upon being asked by his subordinate.
Then, what about that Taboo child?
The child of the white dragon Lyla, the hateful enemy of the dark dragon clan.
He took her of course. His Highness seemed to be bewildered at first but I told him that she won't bite.
Orphen's subordinate chuckled along with a "Grrrr" sound from their throat. They scorned the cowardly prince of the demon race, and laughed at the taboo child who must've been suffering in her last days.
Those annoying white dragon keep annoying us till the end.
But since the perpetrator of the incident, Faravugi had already died, they offered his daughter as a gift To pay for the sin of her father with her body.
After laughing at the deceased Faravugi, Orphen was looking at the horizon.
Now is the time to lay low but The time will surely come when we will get the chance to bite the neck of those demon race!
The demon race had long since realized that the dragon race wasn't completely loyal to them.
And yet They kept the dragon race as their loyal mount. It was as if the demon race provoked the dragon race to rebel first.
As if to prove that, despite using the dragon race as the fastest method of transportation, the demon king himself had never rode a flying dragon. The reason being the demon king himself wasn't stupid enough to forget that not even he could survive if he fell from a high altitude.
The wounded and weakened demon king was enough to shake the foundation of the demon kingdom.
