Wisp! Awaken in the Magical World

Chapter 158: Not At All!

"Linfel, wait!" Zandel tried to stop him, but in the end, he ended up outside with everyone else.

"Hahaha!" Linfel laughed. "Why wait? It is not like we can stay in the building forever, now can we? Since that's the case, we might as well come out with a straight face." Linfel looked around, spreading his Magic Sense and taking mental notes of everyone looking at them.

This was the center of the city, so there were obviously many people and familiars moving around or vehicles passing by. Fortunately, Linfel's 200-meter Magic Sense was able to cover most of the surrounding area. Following that, Linfel's mind messages reached everyone in his group. 'There are indeed quite a few interested in us.

As far as I can see, around 30 eyes are looking in our direction, and most of them seem to be reporting their finding through their MCOMs.'

Zandel wanted to cry while Alvin and the others just sighed. "So... what do we do?"

Linfel continued to float away. "We? We will just go home, eat something, rest, review what we learned, and prepare for the next adventure. Besides, we will receive some visits as well. Right! Zandel, prepare a lot of snacks when we come back, okay?"

Without another choice, Linfel's group returned to their residence. Zandel went to prepare their food, and the others had a conversation with each other about their time in the dungeon. There were many things to go over.

However, around an hour later, the first visit arrived, just as Linfel predicted.

Alvin opened the door, not recognizing the Magus in front of him. "Errr... can I help you?"

The man took out his hat and introduced himself. "Hello! I'm Ruffus Finwen. I'm here to talk about a little bit of business regarding your Cards. Would you mind if we had a little conversation?"

Alvin didn't know what to say, but Linfel appeared on his shoulder a second later. "Oh! It was faster than I expected. Welcome, welcome! Please, come in. What about your friends?"

Alvin was taken aback and looked behind Ruffus. A few other Maguses and Familiars seemed to be in line, wanting to talk to them as well.

"We have our own rules, so I will be the first one. They will have their chance to talk to you later," Ruffus explained.

"That will take too long!" Linfel didn't like that, though. "Everyone, come inside. Our house is quite big, so we can definitely accommodate you all in the living room. We are also preparing some snacks for you all to eat."

Linfel then returned inside, leaving Alvin smiling with a weird expression. "You... heard my Familiar. Please, everyone, come inside. One by one won't work since Linfel will definitely complain."

Ruffus didn't like to hear that, but those behind him, especially those further back, were more than happy to follow Linfel's wishes. Soon, they all entered, and the house door closed behind them.

In the living room, Zandel finally understood why Linfel asked for many snacks. It wasn't for Alvin and Milia, but all these people. He approached Alvin, asking in a low voice. 'What are these guys?'

Alvin had an idea of who they were. 'Most likely related to the people who saw us leaving the Fourth Dimensional Transfer building.'

Milia joined. 'Weren't they supposed to mark our faces and try to rob us outside?'

Alvin and Zandel went silent. This didn't seem like an attack, and it couldn't be anyway since this was still inside the city.

Linfel approached the center of the room, speaking to everyone. "Well, I believe you all came here to negotiate, right?"

Ruffus, who had entered first, nodded. "Yes. We would like to buy your cards, regardless of their colors. Since there are six of you, you should have received at least six cards."

Linfel expected that. "We still don't know how the rules of the cards work. Is it truly possible to buy the cards? We heard the away tokens can't be bought, for example."

"They can," a woman called Jiva took from there. "There are no rules about using Ventis Credits to buy the cards of other Maguses and Familiars. We can also pay through other methods, of course. You can be certain of one thing, we will pay very, very well for every single card."

Alvin couldn't help but ask. "Are the armors on display truly worth so much?"

Ruffus confirmed. "They are. The Ventis Sect Magic Armors are by far superior to what you can acquire on any of our planets. The Ventis Sect is connected to the other powers of this galaxy but especially with powers from the outside. The technology in those armors might not even be found in our galaxy at all. That's why everyone wants to have one at least."

Linfel was more interested in the price. "Okay, how much are you offering?"

Ruffus showed his MCOM. "For each Bronze Card, we offer a thousand Ventis Credits. For each silver, ten thousand Ventis Credits. Finally, for each Golden Card, we offer one million Ventis Credits."

"Wait, from silver to gold, the price jumps a hundred times?!" Alvin spoke, taking a deep breath.

Everyone nodded. "It does. Could it be you have Golden Cards?"

"We wish!" Linfel exclaimed. "But that's weird. You can swap ten Silver Cars for one Golden Card, according to the terminal exchange we saw back in the Magic Armors Room. Shouldn't Golden Cards be worth only ten times more then?"

Ruffus smiled in response. "Do you have ten silver cards to exchange for a golden card?"

"This..." Linfel immediately understood. "It's just too hard to acquire ten silver cards, is it? Let alone Golden."

"That's correct," Jivas was used to that question from new Maguses and Familiars. "Golden cards are so important that we are willing to pay much more than they should be worth it. Simple as that."

Finally, Ruffus asked the main question. "Which cards do you have? Also, would you be willing to sell them to us?"

"Not at all!" Linfel answered without thinking twice.
