Chapter 105: Curse
Chapter 105: Curse
Sol felt like a mountain had been lifted from his shoulder, the pressure he felt from Vulcan finally disappeared once the God left.
"Fuck!" Sol cursed as he falls on his back, the seriousness of his situation finally dawned upon him, coupled with the weakness from all the power he had used and stress from meeting a God.
"Luckily he gave me such a challenge, if it was not for that then I would be dead already" he lamented.
He was really lucky that one of his abilities could somehow be used even under the God's suppression, the origin of the healing dome's core was exceptional, he felt that he need to research more about it so he could uncover more about it.
"A problem for later," He thought as he tried his best to recover his strength, it was not safe for him to be defenseless even though he could not sense any danger nearby.
It took him an hour to be able to walk and conjure clothes, he could have left half an hour before but he would be naked so he opts to wait a bit more until he could conjure something to cover his body.
The first thing he did was to go to Tanya, He had left her in her rage, even though she was not defenseless as he had conjured a gown for her, it would have protected her as long as no Demigod was after her.
Sol could also sense Tanya's condition through it and he knew that She was safe but he still needs to get there before the situation change.
He found that no one was there as there was still so much ice fog that was generated when he was under the limit break.
The limit break might be an inaccurate name for the ability as its actual effect was far from breaking his limit.
From his understanding of what the limit break ability did, it was more like temporarily change him into a demi-titan.
It was just his deduction as he was not really sure if he did become one as his ability under the limit break was similar to what Nerodia had told him.
"Maybe I should rename the ability," he thought, but he could not choose a good name without giving away the nature of the ability.
Being associated with Titan was the last thing he wanted, it would paint a big target on his back for every God to kill him, so was still in his right mind and did not have a death wish.
"Tsk, Limit break will do, it's better than others miss understanding the ability" He concluded.
When he reach Tanya, she was still staring blankly at the sky, looking at her pitiful condition, Sol can help but shook his head.
"Sorry," he whispered as he picked her up and patted her head in consolation.
Sol felt responsible for what happened to her even though he did nothing wrong to her, no one would think such a thing would happen.
Who would have thought that the other faction would leave the city, leaving people from the temple of Vulcan to did as they wish.
If there was someone to blame then it would be the people who did such an inhumane thing, but Sol felt that if the other Demigod and he did not leave the City that it would never come to that.
If there was other power in the city to control the people from the temple of Vulcan, then they would not have done such a thing.
He brought her out to the Temples yard, He could see that the group of Heir he had capture had been beaten to death by the other heir he had freed from the prison.
"Vengence is real, these people should have been more forgiving," He said innocently like he never went out to kill a dozen demigod in vengeance.
The escaping heirs had finished their vengeance and went directly to the teleportation gate which had been unguarded all this time, they did not want to find out the result of Sol fight and rather run while they can.
Sol did not blame them as he himself would do the same, one demigod against a dozen of them sounds unrealistic.
Once he was out in the open, Blacky who was healing himself out of the temple ran toward them in a rush, it went to the unresponsive girl.
It looked at her condition sadly and rubbed her hand with its head begging her to respond, to Sol's surprise, her head moved a bit but it soon stops moving again.
She seemed to have hope of recovery but she would need time and a lot of care to be back as the cheerful girl she was.
It would be best for her to be surrounded by people who care about her and the people she cares about to hasten her recovery.
There were places in the city that Sol wanted to visit but it could wait until he sent the girl back to his house in the mountain.
She would be safe there with Nerodia and he would not need to worry about her when he did his business.
He wanted to visit the crystal mine to see if he could gain more black crystals and he would also like to go to The temple of Minerva.
It had been such a long time since he visits the Goddess as he did not have any access to the temple, Sol wanted to ask the Goddess about the world's current condition and the Gods stance about things.
Now that he has offended Vulcan and possibly Gaea as well, Sol would need to know how other gods think about him or people in general.
If they were being bored and decided to erase him from existence then it would be bad for him, Sol did not think he could survive one angry god, if dozen of them came to him then he would be as good as dead.
"I guess I can use that as a payment," Sol lamented as he would need to use the ant queen body to pay the Goddess.
He had kept it as he hasn't decided how he would use it, now Nerodia thought he ate the body, it would be impossible for him to ask her for help about it.
The city was being abandoned so Sol was about to 'borrow' a snow car to bring Tanya back as it would be hard for him to carry her all the way.
When he entered the car, it suddenly gets rusted all over and became junk within a second which shocked Sol as he did nothing to the car.
He tried to borrow a few more snow cars but the same thing happens to each one of them, he had tried to use a normal car but the same thing happened, to be precise, every metal construct or tool would become junk if he tried to use them.
"What the fuck? This is strange!" Sol was confused by the happening, he thought someone was playing a prank on him.
At first, he thought it was Nerodia as she could have turn metal to dust within a second so it would be easy for her to make the rust, but he soon crossed it out.
Nerodia was kilometers away from where he was, she would not leave Nerva and the mini world alone without protection since the Seed was still growing.
It would be bad if something sneaks into the mini-world and kill the Seed, it would need Sol to be very lucky to get another Seed.
"Am I cursed?" Sol thought, he remembered a certain God of smithing who was angry at him, it seems possible that the God would punish him in another way since he could not kill him.
The only metal he could use was his Knife as it was his armament, it would be bad if it turned to junk as well, luckily it did not.
"Another reason to visit Minerva" he muttered, Sol knows that if anyone knows about what happens it would be the Goddess.
If the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge did not know about it then the hope of finding the answer from others was close to zero.
Unless Sol asked Jupiter about it or Vulcan himself, no one would be more knowledgeable about the curse.
Asking the king of God about his problem was impossible as he did not know the God ad he would not spare a glance at Sol.
Asking Vulcan was a big no as well, rather than answering him, then God would probably kill him on the spot as he had promised.
"Walking then," Sol lamented as he could not use any vehicle.
He put Tanya on Blacky's back and walked alongside the hellhound, it was tiring but did not complain about Tanya being put on its back.
"Hmm... how should I explain to Nerodia that I offend a Major God?" Sol lamented as he would be scolded once more.
