Chapter 86: His Point of View
*************
"What do you think, Grand Duke Chevalier? I know your curious as well to get to know about this flying chick who just appeared out of nowhere."
'This woman sure had some nerve to call me a flying chick. Isn't she being a cheeky at all?'
Francis thought as he looked at these two people he suddenly got acquainted after he accidentally trespassed within this eerie place that he remember from the previous timeline.
'It's still creepy as hell. Just what does that old man thinking and to put something like this within the academy?'
He thought as he gazed upon these two and of course, even without introducing themselves to him, Francis already knew about them.
Lorraine Fowler, the heroine of this worldline, the so-called chosen one of this worldline.
'Tsk! I don't know why I became one of the six male leads for this brat. I'm not into minors, sorry.'
He thought as he gazed at the other person and this guy was none other than Eclipse's older brother, the current Patriarch of Chevalier household, Altron Zerux Chevalier.
'This is truly different from what I remember.'
When he suddenly meet up with Eclipse three years ago and reveals his identity to the world-hopper as a self-aware character, from that day on, he choose not to become an Instructor in this academy since he vaguely knew how Eclipse's was thinking about.
'That guy is pretty stubborn to death, and no one could have changed his mind even if I told him so.'
Francis had a feeling from before that this world would have drastic changes as he noticed how some of the events are no longer aligned to the previous timeline.
For example, about this person whose name is Altron Zerux Chevalier, the supposed heir apparent and the First Young Master of the household but suddenly, he became the new Patriarch of the household and earning the Grand Duke title that was passed down to him by his father, the now-former Patriarch, three years ago.
For this man to receive the Marquis title earlier than the previous timeline, and he acquired the title after the so-called funeral ceremony of the now-deceased Third Young Master of the household.
'That guy truly pulled a stunt like that! It's a shame that I didn't witness it to myself.'
He thought as he mentally shook his head off as he remembered that incident that spread within the whole Empire because of the stunt he pulled up with.
He snapped when he noticed someone else's gaze at him and he immediately looked at the source and he almost got a fright because of how the Grand Duke of the Chevaliers, Altron, was looking back at him as if the man was dissecting him with those cold cyan-colored eyes of his.
'Geez! Just looking at this guy makes me remember Eclipse's piercing cold cyan-colored eyes that has a similar shade of this one here.'
He thought as he ignored that piercing gaze and just observed these two.
For the record, from what Francis had known, even in the previous timeline, the Chevaliers held the Marquis title even though they were supposed to be the Grand Dukes since the Chevaliers are one of the pioneer households during the establishment of Stellarus Empire.
However, the ancestors of the Chevaliers preferred to be called Marquis and they never considered themselves to be Grand Dukes as they didn't want the balance of the political side to be crumbled or be unstable.
That could also be the reason why the Chevaliers remained a neutral faction whenever the succession battle for the throne begins and the Chevaliers duty is not only for being the protecters of the Empire but also, they are the ones who hold the balance between the Aristocratic faction and the Imperial faction.
'Well, it's understandable if the Chevaliers remained neutral up until this generation since they hold much more power that could be comparable to the Royal family and not only that, but there is also another Chevalier household and it was led by none other than the Second Young Master itself, Count Harrison Chevalier.'
Francis thought as he snickered, and he truly despised how the noble society works and most of the nobles are not that great because of their greed for power and as the result, most of the common folk suffered because of their deeds.
In reality, Francis doesn't care about the political intrigues that are brewing within this Empire as it's none of his business and it doesn't involve him though.
Francis might be a self-aware character of this worldline and a native one but if there were changes that's happening in this worldline, he could feel it.
Just like what happened back then from three years ago.
A system error was initiated that his soul energy almost depleted from that time, but he managed to survive on his own.
'I could only thank about the Lion's Fang that my magic teacher bestowed upon me after they left him to continue their journey with his partner.'
The Lion's Fang is a life-bound necklace that he acquired from his magic teacher but there is a catch about this necklace.
This necklace is divided into two halves and Francis gifted the other one to Eclipse as a reward for him to unlock the hidden character role for him.
'Well, I didn't expect that my role would have been suddenly changed like that.'
Now that most of the events from the previous timeline are now different from the current timeline, as a hidden character in this worldline, he needs to do something on his part.
'Although I don't have an idea on how to solve this hidden character role within me, but it won't be that bad if I didn't try to trigger it, right?'
Since in every worldline that Eclipse world-hopped into and most of his fragments are latched into some characters from those worldlines, he decided that he would be Eclipse's eyes and ears within this Empire.
'And right now, I finally joined within their circle. Since I don't have any affiliation to anyone here, unlike from the previous timeline where I'm an instructor of this academy, in the current timeline, I have none.'
