Chapter 104: Looker and Cynthia

Chapter 104: Looker and Cynthia

On the other side, Grey Feather’s expression was unpleasant. Indeed, compared to the police, the strength of their poachers was at a disadvantage.

The coordination on the other side was clearly the result of long-term teamwork and extensive targeted training. For these poachers with no formal training, the battle situation was heavily one-sided.

However, it wasn’t absolute. The poachers also had some battlefields where they were able to take the lead. Grey Feather’s Pokémon and the officers’ Pokémon displayed formidable strength, holding their ground.

“Boom~ Boom~ Boom~”

A surging storm of energy raged as the battle continued. In this chaotic situation, many injuries had already appeared on the Pokémon, and the sky was lit up like fireworks.

Ripples, flames, thunder, ice…

Countless forms of energy intertwined, outlining the most primitive form of battle. In such a situation, the Trainers could only follow closely behind, keeping themselves in the safest positions, controlling the entire battle.

Snowpoint City’s Officer Jenny, in her role as the commander of the police force, remained remarkably calm. She had participated in chases like this with poachers before, but this time, the scale of the operation was more challenging than her previous pursuits of one or two poachers.

“Howl—”

“Howl—”

Looking at her Arcanine standing proudly on the battlefield ahead, Jenny felt a sense of relief, especially as the scales of victory began to tip in their favor.

“I wonder where Mr. Looker is right now…”

At the same time, Officer Jenny had a lingering worry in her mind. Looker, a senior International Police officer, had been sent as a support for this operation. He had gone ahead to investigate North Lake on his own.

But after transmitting a message to them, Mr. Looker had vanished without a trace.

“Poacher Alex” was not an optimistic person. During his time as a Pokemon Poacher, he has always worn a silent and heavy-hearted expression. He was very afraid because he knew his actions were breaking the law, but now it was too late to turn back.

Energy waves swept across his face, and he felt the impact from all directions. Every time he was chased by the police, he was scared, afraid of going to jail and becoming a target of people’s scorn.

If possible, he truly wished to return to his hometown with a large sum of money, cultivate Berries, and live a peaceful life.

“Falcon!” As the police closed in, he called out to his best partner in his poaching career, Falcon.

“Indeed, at times like this, it’s most reassuring when we fight side by side,” Alex smiled helplessly, slowly approaching Falcon. However, his question received no response.

“What’s wrong? Feeling down? It’s just a battle…” he muttered to himself, and he was also quite surprised. It was as if from the very beginning, the usually talkative Falcon had suddenly become even more reticent than him.

But in this situation….it was normal to have a bad mood.

With that in mind, Alex sighed helplessly.

Amid the blazing Pokemon battlefield, where both sides unleashed their most powerful moves, the magnificent and robust Pokemon engaged in a grand showdown. However, the outcome of this battle cannot be decided solely by Pokémon on either side.

“Area C! Area C! Follow orders! The rampaging Banette has entered Area C.”

A roar came through the earpiece. “It’s leader’s Banette; it’s under confusion state. Quickly stop it! Also, someone has infiltrated the QTJP-991 vehicle. Find the intruder at all costs!”

An intruder!

Alex was taken aback. They were clearly blocking the police’s path, with mountains on both sides and no road behind them. The sky was also under constant surveillance, and if any Flying-type Pokémon dared to enter their field of vision, they would be attacked immediately.

In such a situation, how could there be an intruder?

“Falcon, let’s go check it out. We’re the only two logistics personnel who are not currently assigned to any tasks…”

Suddenly—

“Ugh—”

Alex’ eyes widened, staring in disbelief. In his line of sight, his friend “Falcon,” upon hearing the message, crouched down abruptly, springing forward like a coiled spring, and delivered a punch to his stomach.

“Falcon” moved with incredible agility, and judging from Alex’s fierce expression, he possessed immense strength. After a single punch, he swiftly followed with a roundhouse kick and forcefully struck Alex’s neck with his arm, knocking his opponent to the ground.

Taking a deep breath, “Falcon” lifted his hat slightly, revealing his concealed face. “Did someone else…also invaded besides me?”

This was the logistics area in Combat Area C, and the person disguised as “Falcon” swiftly dealt with Alex before vanishing into an unknown location.

“The target is 673 meters away, with 100 meters deviation from the expected distance.”

Hearing the news from the researchers, Grey Feather’s gaze sharpened. Now wasn’t the best time to use the “Raikou Weapon.” As the police inched closer, they also gradually entered the attack range of “Raikou.”

“Spread the word, we need to withdraw a little!”

Grey Feather couldn’t wait to overcome the obstacles ahead. Just now, he received news that Banette and three poachers guarding the Water Source Stone had been attacked. Banette was under the Confusion state, and an intruder had already sneaked in.

Faced with this tricky situation, Grey Feather was stretched thin and could only dispatch one of the three combat officers from his gang. He wasn’t sure about the subsequent developments; for now, he could only push forward and try to reverse the situation.

“Ensure the safety of ‘Raikou’!”

If the poachers were occupying a disorganized territory that could hardly be called an impregnable barrier, the police were the direct obstacle. Meanwhile, behind the poachers, on a narrow path.

A girl with dense golden hair flowing down her back wore black sportswear, her expression carrying a hint of gravity as she rushed in this direction.

In front of her, a Pokémon covered in fine deep blue scales was sprinting at high speed. Its speed rivaled that of a jet fighter, and the wind generated by its wings destroyed all obstacles nearby, creating a straight path for the girl behind.

Their direction… led straight to the battlefield, towards Terrance’s side.

After learning about the police’s moving route, Cynthia anticipated the escape route of the poacher gang and made preparations in advance. However, what surprised her was that even after a long time, the poachers didn’t appear.

She instinctively realized… that something had gone wrong.

Glistening beads of sweat fell onto her refined and noble face. Although she was not very old, Cynthia exuded mature charm, a result of her personality’s maturity, giving her insight and vision far beyond her peers.

After hurrying over, Cynthia and Garchomp came to a halt….as before them stood a youth with short chestnut hair, not much older than a rookie Trainer, but his young face displayed unwavering determination.
