Chapter 1532 - Common Sense
Chapter 1532: Common Sense
With that, Wang Yu walked in front of the red dragon. Then he pulled out the Dragon Emperor’s Token and waved it before the red dragon. “Do you know what this is?”
“I’ve said this before!”
That red dragon glared at Wang Yu for a moment before he responded irritably, “I can’t f*cking read! Hurry up and leave before I get mad.”
“Boom!”
With the red dragon’s words, Wang Yu stomped onto the ground with thunderous power. With his enormous attack, the bricks dislodged from the pavement, flying in every direction.
“Sir Warrior!”
When the arrogant red dragon saw this, his expression changed at once as he attempted to make peace, “We’re civilized people. Let’s not resort to violence. Warrior, if you wish to enter, please go ahead.”
“You’re right!”
Wang Yu nodded as he retracted the palm that was in the dragon’s face. The dragon let out a long sigh, as if he was free from a large burden.
Prairie Fire and the others had never been through a situation like this. Seeing how Wang Yu brought the dragon under control with one move, they froze. They mumbled, “He can even do that?”
“Let’s go!” Wang Yu waved his hands at Prairie Fire and the others. Taking the lead, he walked into Giant Dragon Castle.
Prairie Fire chased after him as he asked in confusion, “Brother Bull, how did you do that?”
“Easy!”
Wang Yu smiled as he turned to ask the red dragon, “Are you guardians of Giant Dragon Castle?”
“No...” The red dragon shook their heads as they said this.
“See that?” Wang Yu shrugged, “I said this before; we could have entered even without asking them. But you insisted on waking him up.”
“That’s not right...” Prairie Fire asked, “If you’re not a guardian, why’re you here?”
In the face of Prairie Fire’s question, the dragon was reluctant to answer. However, when he saw the ferocious Wang Yu, that dragon stared at Prairie Fire condescendingly, “If someone is stationed here, must they be a gatekeeper? I’m just sleeping in a place with sunlight.”
“I...” Hearing the dragon’s response, Prairie Fire was speechless.
That was true. Nobody said that someone who lay at the gates had to be a gatekeeper... this was nothing more than the game developers’ cheeky design.
In reality, the players could go wherever they wanted. However, the game designers decided to station two dragons here.
If the players asked about them, they would be stopped like Prairie Fire. It was a matter of principle... Clearly, it was a simple procedure, but the designer decided to play a psychological trick to make players’ lives difficult. One could tell from this that the game developers had no limits to their morals.
Even though Prairie Fire learnt that the red dragon was just a trap laid by the designers, he was confused.
“Brother Bul!” Prairie Fire asked curiously, “How did you know this guard was fake?”
“Simple! Common sense!” Wang Yu responded casually.
“Common sense?” Prairie Fire asked in confusion, “What do you mean?”
Wang Yu was speechless, “Don’t you know this? Which gatekeeper in this world is illiterate? Furthermore, this is the Dragon Emperor’s Token... If a gatekeeper can’t even recognize an invitation, what else is there to discuss? Anyway, what do you think Giant Dragon Castle is? It’s renowned for how anyone who enters can’t even return. What’s the point of stationing guards here?”
“Can you play the game with that logic?”
After playing the game for such a long time, this was the first time Prairie Fire had heard of applying real-world common sense to the game. These were clearly two different concepts. How could he apply the same logic?
“Of course!” Wang Yu replied dryly, “This game closely reflects reality...”
“But the Golden Drake is illiterate too,” Prairie Fire continued.
“So what?” Seeing how obstinate Prairie Fire was, Wang Yu responded crisply, “Anyway, he won’t let us in either. There’s no harm trying it out.”
“Impressive!”
When Prairie Fire heard Wang Yu’s words, he was stunned for a long time. Then, he shot a thumbs-up at Wang Yu to acknowledge his suaveness. He had no choice; Wang Yu’s logic was impeccable.
Using Prairie Fire’s map, they finally entered Giant Dragon Castle.
The Giant Dragon Tribe’s construction quality was of a different class compared to humans. The so-called castle was actually a large-scale cave. Inside the castle, it looked like a rocky cavern. When one looked at it, it elicited a feeling of disbelief that this was the Giant Dragon Tribe’s home grounds.
It seemed like no matter how intelligent one was, they could never escape the likes of animals... In terms of enjoyment, the Giant Dragon tribe was leaps and bounds away from intelligent human species.
Of course, it was also because the Giant Dragon tribe enjoyed this environment.
It was the first time Wang Yu and the others came to Giant Dragon Castle. They weren’t familiar with the terrain or civilians. Even with the map, it was difficult to navigate.
Everyone stared at the map. After turning back and forth for a long time, they finally arrived near a grand, large rock door.
That rock door was much smaller than the city gates of Giant Dragon Castle. It was pure gold with large jewels embedded as it sparkled brightly. With one look, it gave a feeling of a wealthy person that splurged extravagantly. The Giant Dragon tribe’s image fell by another rung.
Other than their greed and lust, this was what Giant Dragons were known for. It seemed like they had nothing special to boast about.
To the two sides of the golden door, two strong, silver-coloured mature dragons were stationed. They looked like statues that didn’t move at all. However, their charisma was overwhelming.
“I’ll push the door open!”
After learning the power of common sense from Wang Yu, Prairie Fire ignored the dragons by the door. Without saying another word, he walked to the stone doors and pushed it open.
All of a sudden, one of the silver dragons shot an ice-cold glare at Prairie Fire. “Who are you? How dare you infiltrate Giant Dragon Castle?”
“It’s none of your business! Open the door!”
Prairie Fire grunted nonchalantly as he pulled out his bow and aimed it at the silver dragon. He was learning from the master, intending to assert his authority here.
“F*ck, you’re insane!”
Seeing this, Wang Yu hurriedly snatched Prairie Fire’s bow away.
“What for?”
Prairie Fire’s moment of glory was torn apart by Wang Yu. He asked this confusedly.
“Are you dumb?!” Wang Yu began angrily, “These two dragons are gatekeepers.”
“Really? How do you know?”
Prairie Fire retorted.
“Common sense!” Wang Yu pointed at the two silver dragons and continued, “This is the Giant Dragon Castle’s territory. Naturally, there’ll be gatekeepers here. These two dragons are of the same colour and size. They’re standing upright too. Clearly, they’re gatekeepers.”
“Oh...” Prairie Fire was stunned again.
The Silver Dragon Gatekeepers seemed completely uninterested in Wang Yu and Prairie Fire. Instead, they stared at them calmly and spoke, “This is the Giant Dragon Tribe’s Stronghold. Trespassers are not allowed.”
“We aren’t trespassers!”
Prairie Fire pulled his invitation out at once, presenting it to the Silver Dragon Gatekeepers.
The Silver Dragon Gatekeepers stared at it leisurely, “You’re too late...”
“Ah?”
Hearing the Silver Dragon Gatekeepers’ words, Prairie Fire’s expression turned to disappointment.
