Chapter 205: Zombie Wave ( 6 )
Indeed, the knives made of Starlight Silver were being controlled by her will of mind.
The Starlight Silver was more than just a metal; it was a curse to the undead.
[ Effects: Crafted weapons from Starlight Silver possess the innate ability to enhance precision, granting a higher chance of critical hits against foes. Armor forged from this ore offers enhanced agility and speed to the wearer, allowing swift maneuvers in battle. ]
Since Leo crafted weapons on the Starlight Silver Ingots he obtained from Shane, Layla's accuracy and critical hit rate were incredible.
[ Starry Night Knives ( Master ): Crafted from the elusive Starlight Silver, these seven ethereal-looking throwing knives shimmer with a spiritual glow, embodying the essence of precision and strength. When wielded in battle, these blades bestow upon the user a sense of otherworldly accuracy and the potential for devastating critical hits.
Effects:
+30 Physical Attack, +80% Accuracy, +50% Critical Hit
Special Effects:
Burn Effect: Upon impact, the blades unleash a scorching burn effect, engulfing the target in mystical flames that inflict additional damage over time, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake. ]
Wherever the knives struck, they left trails of searing light that burned through fur and flesh. Zombie Wolves fell in droves, their bodies cleaving in two under the unstoppable force of Layla's telekinetic assault.
But Layla's power was not limited to offense alone.
While she used four of the flying knives to attack the wolves she used the three others for defensive maneuvers.
With these three knives, she wove a protective barrier around her allies, deflecting claws and teeth with the swiftness of her knives just in time to thwart each attack.
As the battle continued, Layla's knives danced like a deadly whip and impressed even the Epic Summon, Chaloem.
The knives were moving faster than the eye could follow!
Chaloem was guessing that Layla must've received a lot of help from Shane… After all, just a glance from Layla, Chaloem could tell that all of her clothes were Master-Grade! It was as if she wasn't a captive a few days ago.
Anyway, he was also impressed at this esper.
Her flying knives were everywhere at once—striking, defending, and turning the tide of combat in favor of them.
With each fallen wolf, Layla's confidence grew stronger.
Her control over her telekinesis was getting more deadly, each knife had become an extension of her thoughts and desires.
The Eclipse Revenant members fought with confidence, inspired by Layla's display of power. With such a formidable esper on their side, they felt that they had nothing to worry about…
Together, they held the line against the Zombie Wolves… Not even the Alpha Wolf was able to stop them!

In the meantime, while the battle was raging at the perimeter of the estate, the non-combatants huddled together in the dimly lit Church, their faces etched with a hint of nervousness since they couldn't see what was going on outside.
They could only pray to whoever god they believed in and hoped for the best.
Ewan's team of farmers clutched makeshift weapons—pitchforks, shovels, and even a few swords that Leo had made with excess metal.
Alexa, the head of the kitchen team, had a meat cleaver strapped to her waist, ready for whatever horrors might come their way.
Anna, the Physician, had her medical bag slung over her shoulder, filled with bandages, antiseptics, and various potions she made. She had a small space in the Church where she could treat anyone who gets injured.
Mr. Wadsworth, the butler, stood near the entrance, peering out through the stained glass windows. His spectacles perched precariously on his nose, he muttered to himself, "This is madness. Absolute madness."
Harper, the expert miner, leaned against the wooden pews, his pickaxe propped beside him. He'd seen enough danger in the mines, and he wasn't afraid to fight alongside Shane and the others, but this was a whole new level of terror. Since there would be plenty of Mid-Tier Zombies, Shane decided not to include them in the battle.
And then there was Lucky, Anna's loyal dog, who had somehow managed to dig a hole in the church floor and escape!
Anna's cry echoed through the nave as she bolted after him. "Lucky! Don't!"
Harper lunged for the window, but Anna was already through, her white coat billowed as she jumped through it!
"Anna, wait!" he shouted, but she was gone, disappearing from his sight.
The others exchanged worried glances. Mr. Wadsworth cleared his throat. "Fear not, my friends," he said, his voice quivering. "The manor's barrier remains intact. No zombies have breached our defenses."
He knew about the Aegis Force and the Bulwark's Beacon, which was protecting the estate, and the Bio-Barrier Generator, which was protecting the Church. They would be safe here.
But even as he spoke, the ground trembled, and the air grew thick with tension. The Super Soldiers, Elves, and other defenders fought valiantly outside, but the sheer number of undead threatened to overwhelm them.
Meanwhile, Anna followed Lucky who had run to the frontlines where the Super Soldiers and other are! Her heart was pounding in anxiousness as she couldn't let Lucky die!
As she followed Lucky, she saw the battlefield and the scene before her was a nightmare—a writhing mass of rotting flesh, gnashing teeth, and grasping hands.
Lucky darted through the chaos, barking at the zombies as if he were invincible.
Anna's physician instincts kicked in. She scanned the battlefield, assessing injuries, infections, and—there!
A wounded Elf, bloodied and staggering!
'Why aren't you sent to me?!' Anna exclaimed in her mind as she knew that there were assigned individuals to carry the injured to her post.
Anna sprinted toward him, dragging him to safety behind a toppled cart. Fortunately, the injury came from an acid and not from a zombie bite or scratch. She could still save the elf with her medicines!
At the same time, Lucky continued his reckless charge, weaving between legs and snapping at zombie's ankles.
Although Lucky was somehow unable to turn into a zombie, she couldn't help but worry.
Nonetheless, Anna's fear for him was eclipsed only by her determination to save lives.
She tore a strip of fabric from her coat and bound the Elf's wound, her hands steady despite the chaos.
