Chapter 6180: Untold Potential

Chapter 6180: Untold Potential

Li Qiye was indeed sucked into the cauldron, albeit on his own volition and unharmed by the singularity.

Once inside, the internal seals launched a devastating assault on the intruder. They were far more potent than the cauldron’s ultimate move.

Tribulation lightning and flames along with other calamities surrounded Li Qiye. The curse with a devilish voice echoed in his mind; the most frightening flame attempted to burn him.

The cauldron contained the evils and calamities of an epoch, capable of killing overlord-level intruders.

“Interesting.” Li Qiye’s primordial aura safeguarded him from harm.

“But something’s off.” He frowned after noticing something.

Immortal Suppressor’s strike couldn’t compare to the weapon’s internal seals. A weapon was meant to destroy foes, not contain these seals.

If the seals were released along with the ultimate move earlier, it would have been far more destructive - several times greater than before. Thus, its true usage was to contain or destroy something within.

“So what’s hiding here? It’s not a weapon, that’s for sure.” Li Qiye said while gazing deeper into the cauldron.

The descendants of True Dragon Court, Zhan Sansheng, and Immortal Suppressor all used it as a weapon. This turned out to be inaccurate.

“What’s the reason?” He pondered because the seals could be used to guard a secret.

“Well, I’ll find out.” He summoned primordial laws and began a search.

The mysteries of the cauldron were unraveled by his laws. The evasive and containment seals didn’t last long.

“There” He disappeared, escaping from the calamities.

They became crazy and hurriedly gave chase, seemingly alive. They knew he had noticed something and wanted to kill him posthaste.

Li Qiye easily withstood the barrages and continued to the secret location, breaking all the seals along the way.

Once he made it through, the calamities stopped chasing him. Instead, he was greeted by soft, light green particles. This looked like a kingdom of green elves, seemingly happy to see a visitor.

Before him was a triangular structure made from smaller triangular blocks stacked upon each other. It resembled a living mountain.

Upon closer inspection, the triangles had tiny crystal tubes within them with dao embryos gestating inside.

“A treasury of the grand dao. So this old man had this trick up his sleeve, constructing an ark here.” Li Qiye viewed the mountain as an incubator of the dao.

The cauldron was created to be a depository, not a weapon.

“It’s a pity, a glimpse into the heavenly secret and untold potential but spent all of his energy here.” Li Qiye became emotional since this was someone he respected - Long Dingtian. [1]

In the past, Long Dingtian left seeds of his epoch here. He knew that his world was in danger but still returned.

Ultimately, he couldn’t save his epoch but this dao depository remained.

“Such selflessness and love.” Li Qiye shook his head: “But it’s just a glimmer of hope that might amount to nothing.”

1. This part was confusing because Dingtian and Long Dingtian are two different people with the same name. I had to do some research to get this right, now the context makes more sense ☜
