Chapter 344
A 500% increase in damage just because I learned energy radiation intent?! I expected nothing less from an offensive art created by the ancient king of the spirit race! He was a sublime emperor when he made the super level of the demonic ranked technique, energy radiation. It is bound to be extraordinary. I have only learned a bit of it, but I can already feel like I can turn many things into dust by using it.'
Now that he had gained a better comprehension of energy radiation and also learned its intent, turning a part of something big like the giant black slimes to dust wasn't hard for him. Elliot could tell that he was close to attaining the last known level of the energy radiation technique. Only a thin wall was stopping him from achieving an even better understanding of this technique. But the road ahead of him was dark. He didn't have anyone to consult with either. There was no one to guide him, too. He could only depend on himself if he wanted to master it. Thus, he couldn't determine how long it would take him to break that wall.
"Marvelous!"
A shout came from below, snapping Elliot out of his thoughts. He was floating in the sky, his outstretched wings that were both pleasing to look at and deadly occasionally flapping, helping him keep afloat.
He saw that the sublime emperor was no longer calm.
If Zerrick was like a still lake before, then now there were many ripples in him.
What created those ripples?
Elliot shifted his gaze elsewhere and noticed the black slimes eating the crystallized pieces of their bodies. A hole had appeared in each of them, and everything with no strength to resist the attractive force coming out of them, lifted off the ground, moved towards them at breathtaking speed, and disappeared into them. As a result, the size of the black slimes increased. It seems like they have returned to their peak strength.
Elliot's eyes narrowed, murderous glints flickering in them.
[You've activated the Energy radiation technique: Turning everything to dust (incomplete)!]
[-100000 units of the essence of life.]
He stretched out his hand towards the enemies on the ground, and out of his palms came out disturbing, bone-chilling amounts of golden shockwaves. Just like how a butterfly flaps its wings, they spread outwards. To the onlookers below, it seemed as if golden lines were integrating into the world, corrupting it, causing it to shatter and fall towards them in slow motion.
There was no safe place in this place.
They headed towards the exit where Freya and Zerrick were standing.
"Fuck off…"
As he raised his hand, brought it close to his chest, and crossed his finger, Zerrick mockingly smiled and uttered those words coldly. He was looking at the slimes in the same way a person would look at the corpse.
The slimes didn't sense anything abnormal about him.
They were able to detect Zerrick's energy level. In their eyes, his energy value was equal to a channel-opening magician, incredibly pathetic. The person behind him was far better but not strong to be a hindrance to them. They continued onwards. They didn't know that Zerrick was a sublime Emperor and that he hadn't stored most of the energy inside his body. Instead, all of his energy was inside the small continent, also present in his body.
Of course, the slimes couldn't detect it.
They arrogantly and ignorantly charged towards the fire.
They were just about to reach the exit when they found out that they couldn't move a single inch!
It was as if something was holding them back.
The giant slimes tried to force their way forward, but as if there was an invisible wall in front of them, they also failed.
The exit was just five meters away from them, yet they couldn't reach it.
What kind of hedonist joke was this?
They looked at Zerrick. When they noticed a mocking smile on his face, they realized he was behind it all.
The golden lines hadn't reached them, but a tremendous pressure had already started acting on them, deforming them.
The bodies of the giant and tiny black slimes compressed into pancakes. There were eyes on top and at the side of all the pancakes on the ground. Each of them had utmost horror in them. And they also reflected the golden lines that were coming closer to them.
They could feel that they would meet their maker if the golden lines reached them.
The fear of death aroused in their flesh, and they tried to retake the exit.
Out of desperation, they attacked the invisible wall with their tentacles. Their attacks landed on it, and dense black ripples surged outwards. The wall or whatever it was that was stopping them was so solid that it didn't break.
A sublime emperor didn't want them to take the exit, so how could mere abominations go against his will?
While they were trying to break it, the golden lines touched them, bursting into golden rays of light that washed over all of them.
Everything and everyone touched by the rays turned to dust.
Unsurprisingly to Elliot, the spatial separation that Zerrick had created between the exit and area 2nd also disappeared.
Zerrick, of course, was surprised!
No one below the sublime emperor level should be able to destroy his spatial separation!
So, how was it possible for Elliot to do it?!
He knew how strong Elliot was. He could tell that the young man was 20 years old according to his bone age, as powerful as a sublime Emperor according to his energy value that reached more than twenty million, and not a sublime emperor.
A sublime emperor has three uniqueness. One was that their attitude was far different than others. The second was that they had a small world of their own. Zerrick's small continent was an example of that.. The last one is what truly made a being a sublime emperor.
